Chronoswiss Neo Digiteur: The Return Of The Mechanical Digital Watch
Chronoswiss brings back one of its most intriguing creations with the Neo Digiteur, available in two limited-edition versions: Sand and Granit. The new model reinterprets the 2005 Digiteur MSA (Montre Sans Aiguilles), a watch inspired by the jump-hour designs of the 1920s and 1930s. With this release, Chronoswiss combines its traditional mechanical expertise with a distinctly modern architectural design.

A Contemporary Take on a Mechanical Digital Display
The Neo Digiteur is a hand-wound mechanical watch that tells time without the use of traditional hands. Instead, it features a digital regulator display composed of three separate discs. The jumping hour is positioned at 12 o’clock, the digital minutes occupy the center, and the running seconds appear in a horizontal window at 6 o’clock. Together, these three indications deliver a futuristic and distinctive way of reading time while remaining entirely mechanical. This approach perfectly reflects Chronoswiss’s philosophy of merging innovation and horological tradition.

Refined Design and Architecture
Housed in a stainless steel case measuring 30 × 48 × 9.70 mm, the Neo Digiteur presents a bold and sculptural profile. Its rectangular form has been reinterpreted to feel contemporary yet comfortable on the wrist, with each line and surface contributing to a sense of architectural precision. The recessed case sides feature a sandblasted horizontal segment that contrasts elegantly with the polished edges, adding both visual depth and refinement.

The redesigned onion-shaped crown, a hallmark of Chronoswiss design, now includes a wider and flattened base to ensure better ergonomics and handling. Completing the construction are screw-fixed lugs, a historically faithful design choice that connects the Neo Digiteur to the brand’s earlier creations while providing structural solidity.
Two Distinct Editions
The new collection debuts with two color variants, each produced in 99 pieces. The Neo Digiteur Granit features an anthracite dial with vertical brushing and glossy deep-blue numerals on the timekeeping discs, giving it a sleek and modern character. The Neo Digiteur Sand, on the other hand, offers a warmer expression through its 4N-gold-plated, sandblasted dial combined with equally deep-blue numerals. Despite their different tones, both models share the same meticulous attention to detail and finishing. Each is priced at CHF 12,500.

The Hand-Wound Caliber C.85757
At the heart of the Neo Digiteur lies the Chronoswiss Caliber C.85757, a new hand-wound movement that provides a 48-hour power reserve. Operating at a frequency of 3Hz, the movement incorporates a proprietary in-house module responsible for managing the energy-intensive jump-hour mechanism while maintaining the smooth motion of the minute and seconds discs.

The craftsmanship continues on the reverse side of the watch, where the sapphire case back reveals beautifully finished components. The bridges and wheels are adorned with hand-guilloché decoration, executed in-house at the Chronoswiss atelier in Lucerne. As a subtle homage to the Fleurier-made FEF calibers that powered the original 2005 Digiteur, the sapphire window is shaped to resemble those historic movements.
Limited, Mechanical, and Distinctly Chronoswiss
The Chronoswiss Neo Digiteur represents a refined evolution of the brand’s earlier Digiteur watches. It successfully bridges the gap between mechanical heritage and contemporary design, offering a bold reinterpretation of the classic jump-hour concept. With its architectural case, digital regulator display, and artisanal finishing, this limited-edition creation captures the essence of Chronoswiss’s independent spirit and its enduring dedication to mechanical innovation.
