Christopher Ward Expands The Twelve Collection With A 38MM Model
Christopher Ward has finally answered the calls of its dedicated fanbase by introducing the highly anticipated Twelve in a 38mm case size. This new addition joins the existing 40mm and 36mm models, further expanding the versatility of the collection. According to Mike France, CEO and co-founder of Christopher Ward, the decision to bring the 38mm version to market was influenced by customer demand. Enthusiasts may recall that this case size was previously explored in the limited “Ice Cream” collection released last year.
Maintaining the signature aesthetics of the Twelve series, the new Christopher Ward Twelve 38mm features an integrated bracelet and a well-proportioned case measuring 38mm in diameter, 9.55mm in thickness, and 43.30mm in length. The case boasts a brushed finish on the surfaces, complemented by polished bevels, a refined crown, and a distinctive 12-sided bezel. Additional features include a fluted crown positioned at 3 o’clock with crown guards, a sapphire crystal, and an exhibition case back secured by six screws. The watch is built with a water resistance of 100 meters, ensuring durability for everyday wear.
The dial of the new Twelve 38mm remains true to Christopher Ward’s signature style, featuring a striking 3D textured pattern and the brand’s elevated logo. Available in four captivating color options—Arctic White, Glacier Blue, Midnight Sun, and Nordic Blue—the dial is further enhanced by brushed triangular indices and a handset filled with Super-LumiNova for optimal legibility in low-light conditions. The date window at 6 o’clock seamlessly blends with the dial background, maintaining a harmonious aesthetic. Completing the dial layout is the embossed brand logo at 12 o’clock and an “Automatic” inscription at 6 o’clock, which matches the minute and second track along the outer edge.
Powering the Christopher Ward Twelve 38mm is the reliable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. This Swiss-made caliber features 26 jewels, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides a power reserve of up to 38 hours, making it a dependable choice for enthusiasts who appreciate precision and reliability.
The new Twelve 38mm is offered with a stainless steel integrated bracelet that mirrors the brushed and polished finishes of the case, equipped with a folding clasp featuring a micro-adjustment system. Alternatively, the watch is available on a white or black rubber strap, offering a more casual yet refined option. The stainless steel bracelet version is priced at € 1,350, while the rubber strap option comes at € 1,095. With its perfect balance of size, design, and performance, the Christopher Ward Twelve 38mm is set to become a sought-after timepiece among watch aficionados.
