Christopher Ward Expands Sealander Collection With New GMT Dragonfly Blue And Automatic Mulberry Red

Christopher Ward reinforces the C63 Sealander collection with two new watches, the GMT Dragonfly Blue which, in addition to the time-date, adds the complication of a second time zone thinking about travelers and the Automatic Mulberry Red which offers time-date functions.

The new Sealander GMT reference that comes with a blue dial adds a new option to the three existing colours so far in white, black and green, wearing a round stainless steel case measuring 39mm in diameter by 11.85mm thick and that comes with a 24h bezel that works in partnership with the extra central yellow hand with an arrow-shape tip.

While the new Sealander Automatic Mulberry Red features a red dial joining the four other existing colour options with time-date complications in black, white, green and blue, although in the reduced 36mm size it was until now only available in black or white. Like the rest of the collection, the watch is mounted on a stainless steel case measuring 36mm in diameter and 10.75mm thick, which comes with a smooth fixed bezel.

Both watches share a sapphire glass outside, open case back, fluted crown at 3 o’clock with crown guards, 150m of water resistance and the new “Consort” steel bracelet with five links in the “Jubilee” style and which comes with a butterfly clasp. Both watches feature a sunburst finish on the dial, where we can also find applied hour indexes and hands filled with luminescent material, a centre seconds hand with a counterweight in the shape of a toothed fork and finally a date window at 6 o’clock.

Inside, the two new references come equipped with an automatic Sellita SW330-2 movement in the Sealander GMT that offers up to 56 hours of power reserve and the Sellita SW200-1 with 38 hours of power reserve in the new Mulberry Red.

The watches are already available in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers, with prices ranging between €890 and €1090 for the 36mm option and €1,165 and €1,365 for the 39mm GMT option.
