Christopher Ward Debuts C12 “Loco” With In-House CW-003 Movement
Christopher Ward has introduced a bold new evolution of its Twelve collection with the debut of the C12 “Loco”—a strikingly modern integrated sports watch powered by a newly developed in-house movement. Blending technical innovation with refined aesthetics, the C12 “Loco” marks a milestone in the brand’s continued focus on accessible mechanical watchmaking.

A New Engine: The CW-003 Calibre
At the heart of the C12 Loco is Christopher Ward’s CW-003, a hand-wound movement designed and assembled in Switzerland. The movement is notable for its open balance wheel design visible on the dial side, and offers an exceptional 144-hour (6-day) power reserve, thanks to twin barrels located on the reverse side. Beating at 28,800 vph, the CW-003 delivers chronometer-grade performance with a stated accuracy of -0/+7 seconds per day.

The movement also showcases fine hand finishing, particularly on the front-facing bridges which are chamfered and polished. The reverse of the watch reveals three elongated bridges that lend a more industrial, streamlined appearance—complementing the mechanical architecture with visual clarity.
Case and Construction
The C12 Loco is housed in a redesigned three-part stainless steel case, measuring 41mm in diameter and 13.7mm in thickness, which includes a tall 3.55 mm box sapphire crystal on the front and a slimmer 0.40 mm sapphire crystal on the caseback.

The design retains the sharp integrated bracelet architecture from “The Twelve” collection, with pronounced lugs that curve downward for an ergonomic fit on the wrist. The steel bracelet features a butterfly clasp equipped with a micro-adjustment link, allowing on-the-fly fine-tuning for comfort.
For those who prefer a sportier look, the C12 Loco is also available with a color-matched rubber strap featuring a deployant clasp.
Dial Options
The watch is offered in four bold dial variations: anthracite grey/black, crisp white, bright blue and bright orange.

Each dial features cutouts that expose the balance wheel and selected bridge elements, offering a dynamic view of the movement in action. The combination of modern dial colors and the mechanical interplay beneath gives the C12 Loco a unique and contemporary visual identity.
Pricing and Availability
The Christopher Ward C12 Loco is priced at € 4,950 on a rubber strap and € 5,205 on a stainless steel bracelet.

Considering its integrated case design, high-spec manual movement, and finishing, the C12 Loco positions itself as a technically advanced mechanical watch within reach of a wider collector base.
