Christopher Ward Celebrates S21’s 10th Anniversary With The New Twelve X
Exactly one year ago, Christopher Ward launched its new popular Twelve onto the market in the increasingly desirable league of sports watches with an integrated bracelet, and he couldn’t have had a better start by presenting an attractive watch with good construction at a reasonable price.
The Twelve, which debuted in a 40mm stainless steel or titanium case and with different colour options on the dial, soon presented a reduced version with a wider audience in mind and today the Twelve X arrived, which in addition to the titanium case comes with a skeletonized dial and the In-house automatic S21 movement that celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The new CW Twelve X It now comes in a mainly Grade 2 Titanium case, while the characteristic 12-sided bezel along with the case back is made from Grade 5 Titanium which makes the case much more scratch-resistant. Regarding dimensions, it presents 41mm in diameter, 12.30mm in thickness and 46.30mm lug-to-lug distance, sapphire crystal, screw-down crown at 3 o’clock that comes with the brand’s signature and flanked by guards, open case back and 100m water resistance.
The skeletonized dial reveals the S21 automatic movement from which more parts were removed, revealing previously hidden others, such as the twin barrels, which are now fully visible. Beyond the movement, we find three centre hands with the hour and minute ones filled with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 BL C1 which also fills the minute track ring on the edges and also the 12-hour marker in Globolight ceramic.
As already mentioned, inside runs the automatic movement Caliber S21, which is COSC certified, operating 28,800 Vph and offering up to 5 days of power reserve.
Like the rest of the collection, in addition to the option of an integrated bracelet that comes here in titanium with a new butterfly clasp with a 3mm easy adjustment system, there is also the option of an integrated black rubber strap, with the prices vary between €5,220 for the first option and €4,850 for the second one.
