Chopard Alpine Eagle XL Chrono Now Arrives In ‘Maritime Blue’
The Chopard Alpine Eagle XL Chrono now arrives with a ‘Maritime Blue’ dial with orange accents and is attached to a tapered black rubber strap. Housing a 44mm Lucent steel case, it becomes an exclusive model for the brand’s Boutiques.
The sports watch with an integrated bracelet introduced in the 80s by Chopard and redesigned in 2019 under the name Alpine Eagle, now arrives in a new variant in Maritime blue in the chronograph version.
The new addition to the collection reinforces the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono line, joining the two resident variants in a black and dark blue dial, in addition to the new tone that is an absolute debut, it now comes attached to a black rubber strap tapered which is also available for the other two references.
On the outside, the timepiece continues to wear the robust Lucent A223 steel case which, in addition to being harder than normal steel, comes with anti-allergic properties, 44mm in diameter by 13mm thick, which features a vertical brushed finish, the same as we can see on the wide bezel secured with eight screws and which rests on a polished intermediate layer that matches the bevels. The front flat sapphire crystal also extends to the rear case, fluted crown at 3 o’clock protected by crown guards and accompanied by two angled horizontal pushers and 100m of water resistance.
The dial with a light blue background features the same pronounced sunburst finish as its peers, which is designed with a tachymeter chapter ring, applied baton hour markers and a twelve Roman numeral that, like the hour and minute hands, is filled with Super- LumiNova, three sub-dials at 3-6-9 o’clock substantiated in a 30-minute counter, a running seconds and a 12-hour counter respectively, a trapezoid date window at 4:30 and a centre chronograph seconds hand which like the two other hands of the two counters are painted with orange tips.
Inside is the Caliber 03.05-C automatic movement that powers the flyback chronograph with a column-wheel and a vertical clutch and is COSC certified, operating at 28,800 Vph and offering up to 60 hours of power reserve.
As already mentioned, the chronograph comes attached to a black rubber strap with a pin buckle in Lucent steel, an exclusive model from the brand’s Boutique with a price of €20,800.
