Certina Strengthens Its Dive Watch Lineup With The New DS Super PH2000M
Certina has unveiled the latest generation of its extreme-performance dive watch, the DS Super PH2000M. Designed for professional diving and demanding environments, the new model combines a 2,000-meter water-resistance rating, an upgraded DS protection system, and a lightweight titanium construction.

The watch comes housed in a Grade 2 titanium case measuring 43 mm in diameter and 16 mm thick. Its robust architecture is complemented by a helium escape valve for saturation diving and Certina’s signature bezel locking system, which requires the bezel to be pressed before it can rotate. As expected from a professional dive watch, the bezel rotates only counterclockwise, providing an additional layer of safety during underwater use.

A key highlight of the new DS Super PH2000M is the latest evolution of Certina’s Double Security (DS) Concept. The upgraded system includes a reinforced movement mounting structure, an additional metal plate between the dial and movement, and a redesigned sapphire crystal engineered to better distribute impact forces. According to the brand, the new architecture allows the watch to withstand shocks of up to 10,000 G.

The collection is available with four dial options: black, yellow, white, and a turquoise-to-black gradient dial reserved for the limited edition model. All versions prioritize legibility with large applied hour markers filled with Super-LumiNova and oversized hands designed for easy reading in low-light conditions.
The turquoise gradient version is limited to 1,959 pieces, a tribute to the year Certina introduced its DS Concept. It also supports the Sea Turtle Conservancy, with part of the proceeds helping fund the organization’s efforts to protect endangered sea turtles, a fitting partnership for a brand long associated with the turtle symbol.

Powering the watch is the automatic Powermatic 80 movement, which delivers an 80-hour power reserve and features a Nivachron balance spring. Developed to improve resistance against magnetic fields and shocks, the titanium-based alloy enhances the movement’s reliability, particularly when combined with the watch’s reinforced DS protection system.
Each model is delivered on a five-link titanium bracelet and includes an additional strap. The yellow and black dial versions come with a black rubber strap, the white dial model is paired with a fabric strap, while the limited edition receives a teal silicone strap. Most configurations feature a folding clasp with an on-the-fly micro-adjustment system, while quick-release spring bars allow for easy strap changes.

With its impressive 2,000-meter water resistance, advanced shock protection, titanium construction, and proven Powermatic 80 movement, the new Certina DS Super PH2000M continues the brand’s long tradition of creating robust tool watches built for extreme conditions.
The new Certina DS Super PH2000M is available now and is priced at CHF 1,235, with the turquoise gradient version limited to 1,959 pieces worldwide.
