Celebrating A Century: Delma Unveils Heritage Chronograph 100 Years
The Swiss watchmaking brand Delma, which celebrates a century of existence this year, continues the celebrations with an edition of the Heritage Chronograph 100 Years.
The watch follows the model introduced in 2021, focusing on a busy retro dial with several scales and registers.
On the outside, the watch wears a round case in polished stainless steel in vintage style but with contemporary dimensions, 43mm wide, 15.70mm high and 51mm long, smooth bezel, sapphire crystal, fluted crown at 3 o’clock and two pushers, open case back and 100m water resistance.
The black dial features a sunburst finish, big Arabic numerals outlined in orange which, like the syringe hands, are filled with luminescent material, 12-hour, 60-second and 30-minute counters at 6-9-12 o’clock which in position next to the crown are replaced by two day-date windows with a matching background paired between the brand’s logo and its founding year “1924”. It also presents three scales near the edges, headed by a white tachymeter, an intermediate orange telemeter and a white minute/second, lastly, a polished chronograph centre seconds hand with a spear-shaped counterweight.
Inside it runs the 25-jewel ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic movement reaching 28,800 Vph and offering up to 2 days of power reserve.
The exclusive Delma of just 100 pieces comes attached to a black leather strap with orange stitching and a steel folding clasp that can be purchased at the brand’s online store for €2,900.
