Introducing The Raymond Weil Freelancer Pop Chronograph Bi-Compax LE

With great traditions in the music industry, over the years Raymond Weil has established several partnerships with musicians and other protagonists of that milieu and it is in this context that the brand has just announced the latest collaboration with saxophonist Sandy Sax and pianist Victor Le Douarec which results in the limited edition Raymond Weil Freelancer Pop Chronograph Bi-Compax.

The new chronograph, which is housed in a robust Titanium case measuring 43.5mm in diameter and 13.7mm thick, comes with a fixed bezel and a black ceramic insert with a tachymeter scale, sapphire glass front and back, fluted crown at 3 o’clock flanked by two bulky pump pushers and 100m of water resistance.

But it is the dial of the watch that stands out as it features an unusual colour combination, with a grey gradient centre, followed by a radial ring that comes with a black guilloche pattern and ends in a turquoise outer ring pulsometer. The hue also extends to the two totalizers at 3 and 9 o’clock and also to the chronograph centre seconds hand. The dial is completed with a date window at 6 o’clock that comes with a characteristic “musical” font, applied hour markers and hands all filled with luminescent material.

Inside, the main protagonist is the Caliber RW5030 automatic movement based on the modified Sellita SW510, which reaches 28,800 Vph and offers up to 56 hours of power reserve.

The chronograph is attached to a “Jubilee” type Titanium bracelet of 5 links with a folding clasp.

A total of 400 pieces will be worldwide available, which can be purchased at the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers for the price of USD 3,995.
