Furlan Marri Marks Five Years With The Striking Meteorite Octa
To celebrate its fifth anniversary, Furlan Marri has introduced a striking new release that brings one of the most fascinating materials in watchmaking into the spotlight: the Meteorite Octa.

Based on the brand’s successful Mechaquartz chronograph platform, this special edition immediately stands out thanks to a dial crafted from a genuine slice of the Muonionalusta meteorite, a material formed more than 4.5 billion years ago.
A Dial Crafted From Ancient Cosmic Material
The defining feature of the Meteorite Octa is, without question, its dial.
Furlan Marri uses a genuine fragment of the Muonionalusta meteorite, an iron meteorite discovered in the region near the border between Sweden and Finland. Recognized as one of the oldest meteorites known on Earth, it is believed to have originated from the core of an asteroid before reaching our planet approximately one million years ago.

Its naturally formed crystalline structure reveals the unmistakable Widmanstätten pattern, creating a distinctive texture that makes every dial unique. Because each cut of meteorite differs naturally, no two watches will look exactly the same, giving every piece its own visual identity.
The name “Octa” directly references the meteorite’s scientific classification as an octahedrite, further strengthening the connection between the watch and the extraordinary material used in its construction.
Signature Furlan Marri Design
The Meteorite Octa builds upon the design language that helped establish Furlan Marri as one of the most respected names in accessible independent watchmaking.
The dial features a sophisticated sandwich construction, where the meteorite center section is slightly raised above the recessed outer ring and subdials. This layered architecture adds depth and gives the watch a more dimensional appearance on the wrist.

Surrounding the meteorite center is a matte white chapter ring, paired with matching white chronograph subdials that create a sharp visual contrast against the metallic grey tones of the dial. This contrast not only enhances legibility but also emphasizes the meteorite’s natural pattern.
The design is further elevated by applied stainless steel Roman numerals, polished hands and markers, and a pulsation scale running around the edge of the dial, adding a refined vintage-inspired touch that has become a signature of the brand.
Classic 38mm Case Dimensions
The watch is housed in a 38 mm stainless steel case, maintaining the elegant proportions that define Furlan Marri’s chronograph collection.
It measures 38 mm in diameter, 12 mm in thickness, and features a 46 mm lug-to-lug distance, dimensions that should make it highly wearable across a wide range of wrist sizes.

The case finishing remains one of the standout elements in this price segment, combining polished surfaces with satin-brushed areas and engraved detailing that deliver a level of refinement rarely seen at this level.
At the back, the watch features a solid engraved decagonal caseback, reinforcing its vintage-inspired personality, while water resistance is rated at 50 meters.
Seiko Mechaquartz Movement
Powering the Meteorite Octa is the reliable Seiko V64 mechaquartz movement.
This hybrid calibre combines quartz precision with a mechanical chronograph module, allowing the chronograph seconds hand to deliver a smoother sweeping action than a standard quartz movement. It is a proven movement that has become an essential part of Furlan Marri’s chronograph lineup, offering both reliability and an engaging user experience.
