Laco Unveils New Scorpion Dive Watches With Stealth Mode Variants

Laco, renowned for its heritage in crafting pilot’s watches, has expanded its contemporary dive watch collection, the Scorpion, with four new stealth mode variants. These models—Himalaya, Mojave, Atlantik, and Amazonas—are named after natural regions and feature distinct coloured luminescent accents in white, orange, blue, and green, respectively. These accents can be seen on both the dial and bezel, adding a vibrant touch to the bold, black DLC-coated stainless steel case.

The new Scorpions offer two size options: 39mm by 13mm and 42mm by 13.40mm, catering to different wrist preferences. The robust design is complemented by a unidirectional bezel, which sports a black ceramic insert with the first 15 minutes filled with luminescent markers in the corresponding colour of each model. A domed sapphire crystal enhances durability, while the screw-down crown at 3 o’clock, protected by crown guards, ensures 300 meters of water resistance. On the back, a solid case with an embossed scorpion further reinforces the collection’s rugged dive-ready aesthetic.

The matte black dial features large white Arabic numerals and indexes, all filled with Super-LumiNova for exceptional legibility. The hour markers at 12 and 6 o’clock are coloured to match the luminescent accents, and the minute and lollipop seconds hands also carry these vibrant touches. Inside the watch beats the reliable Laco 200 automatic movement, based on the Sellita SW200, offering a smooth 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of up to 38 hours.

The new Laco Scorpion models come fitted with a matching rubber strap in the same colour as the dial accents. However, for those who prefer other options, Laco offers two additional strap choices: a NATO-type strap or a DLC-coated stainless steel bracelet. Prices for the new Scorpion line start at €990 for the rubber or nylon strap versions and go up to €1,090 for the models with the steel bracelet.

This new release underscores Laco’s commitment to merging its traditional watchmaking expertise with modern, durable designs, making these models perfect for adventure enthusiasts.

Laco And 10Ten Labs Unveil Exclusive Middle Eastern Pilot’s Watches In Pastel Tones

After the green limited editions brought by Laco of the Augsburg Grün and AAchen Grün, the German watchmaker in partnership with 10Ten Labs presents a trio of the AAchen Grün in 39mm exclusive to the Middle East.

10Ten Labs is a Saudi Arabian company dedicated to watchmaking, representing more than 25 brands and offering unique pieces as a result of numerous established partnerships, one of the most recent being with the German watchmaker brand offering its traditional Type B pilot’s watches in a limited edition with the dials in 3 pastel tones.

The watches feature the historic dial layout with a wider outer scale with minutes and a triangle marking noon and a smaller inner scale with hours that, like the two sword hands, are filled with Super-LumiNova C3, a centre seconds hand and the brand’s lettering. Among the variants we have Smoked Salmon in clay tones, Fuchsia in pink and Moss Aqua in turquoise.

Housed in a stainless steel case measuring 39mm wide, 11.55mm high and 46.50mm long, it features a polished and brushed finish, smooth bezel, sapphire crystal on both sides, fluted crown at 3 o’clock and 50m water resistance.

It is through the open case back that the Caliber 21 automatic movement based on the Miyota 821A without date can be seen, operating at 21,600 Vph and offering up to 42 hours of power reserve.
The watches come attached to a brown or grey suede leather strap with stitching at the ends and a steel buckle pin with the brand’s signature.

The watches arrive in a limited edition of 25 units per variant for a total of 75 pieces which, as already mentioned, are intended exclusively for the Middle East market with a unit price of USD 620.

Laco’s Iconic Flieger Watches Get a Green Dial Makeover

Laco is a German watchmaking brand with almost a century of existence that specialized in the manufacture of watches for pilots, and which along with five other brands, supplied the German Luftwaffe during the Second World War.

During this troubled time, two types of pilot’s watches emerged that came with different black dials, which came to be known as the Type A, which had a simpler configuration with a single scale for hours and minutes, and the Type B, which came with two distinct scales, a smaller inner one for the hours and a larger outer one for the minutes.

These watches that continue to trend now arrive with a green dial in a limited edition of 250 units for each.

The historic flieger watches maintain the entire previous layout with the Type A coming with a single minute/seconds scale with a triangle between two dots at noon, Arabic hour markers and sword hands all filled with Super-LumiNova C1, while the Type B comes with two different scales, one for the hours and another for the minutes, also supported by sword hands enriched by the same luminescent material.

On the outside, the watches feature a round brushed stainless steel case, a smooth polished bezel, sapphire glass, a large fluted crown at 3 o’clock, an open case back and 50m water resistance.

Powered by Laco 2S automatic movement which is based on the 21-jewel Miyota 82S0, it comes with hacking seconds, running 21,600 Vph and offering up to 42 hours of power reserve, which can be upgraded by the Laco 31 (Miyota 8315) with an extra 18 hours.

The watches arrive attached to a calfskin leather strap in stone grey tones with green stitching and a steel pin buckle with the brand’s signature, for a price of €440 which rises to €495 if you opt for the improved movement.
