Unveiling The Stargazer: Konstantin Chaykin’s Double-Sided Masterpiece With 17 Complications
Konstantin Chaykin, the independent watchmaker known for producing watches with expression faces on the dials with various complications, has just presented his latest creation, the Stargazer with 17 complications, 4 of which are world premieres.
The Stargazer was presented for the first time last year in a unique piece built for Only Watch for charitable purposes which now joins the Wristmon collection.
The watch features a double side, the Dark Side on the front and the Light Side on the back, which allows the 17 complications to be distributed on both sides.
The watch is presented in a round “Bulat” case, the brand’s steel alloy known for its strong resistance to scratches, and measures 42mm in diameter by 15.30mm in thickness. Bezel on both sides with depressions secured with visible screws, double sapphire crystal, straight lugs with rounded tips and two crowns at 3 and 9 o’clock.
The Dark Side with a ruthenium finish comes with an hour indicator on the “left eye” and a minute indicator on the “right eye”, a retrograde day of the week indicator on the “mouth”, the zodiac signs on the inner bezel and a 24-hour solar indicator at noon with two side bridges, one for the length of the day and the other for the length of the night.
The Light Side, which features a lighter rhodium finish, is where we find a tourbillon at 6 o’clock, astronomical phases of the moon and the four new complications: sunrise and sunset azimuth indicators, solar activity cycle and current cycle indicator and a 4-stage discreet moon-phase indicator.

Inside is the In-house hand-wound Caliber K.22-1 with 664 components and 82 jewels responsible for keeping the almost two dozen complications it brings together operational, reaching 19,800 Vph and offering up to 45 hours of power reserve.
The watch is attached to a double-sided black calfskin leather strap with steel terminals.
