Introducing the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Skelet-One Tourbillon
Let’s go to another Pitch Watch
Jaquet Droz has just launched another Grande Second Skelet-One, after presenting to the world in 2018 its first timepiece with a skeletonized dial, the Grande Second Skelet-One, and already in the spring of this year has designed an exquisite piece for the Only Watch 2021, now presents the Grande Second Skelet-One Tourbillon.
The new Grande Second comes in a 41mm case in 18k red gold, with matte black bridges that span the entire dial and also serve as the base for the tourbillon cage that follows the same geometry. The dial is made up of two layers, the first exterior in sapphire glass and a second internal one in Swiss smoky quartz in the shape of figure eight, which is the collection’s signature, on which the hour and minute hands operate on a lower counter that is intersected by a smaller upper counter that works as a small second, displaying both hands and indexes in gold. On the open case back of the watch, in addition to the matte black bridges, it’s possible to observe the tourbillon whose cage serves as a docking base for the small seconds, and also the skeletonized oscillating weight in red gold 18k, which offers up to 7 days of power reserve.
The watch is offered with a black alligator leather strap with a folding clasp in 18k red gold matching with the case. The price of the watch is available upon request.
