LVMH Announces Key Executive Changes In Watches Division

Frédéric Arnault, CEO of LVMH Watches Division, announced executive changes within the Watches Division, effective September 1, 2024, to support its growth strategy.

Ricardo Guadalupe is appointed Honorary President of Hublot. Having served as CEO since 2012, he has significantly contributed to the brand’s growth and is now stepping back from operational management.
Julien Tornare, currently CEO of TAG Heuer, will succeed Ricardo Guadalupe as CEO of Hublot.
Antoine Pin, currently General Manager of Bvlgari Horlogerie, will succeed Julien Tornare as CEO of TAG Heuer.

Arnault praised Ricardo Guadalupe for his 20 years of dedication and success at Hublot and expressed confidence in Julien Tornare and Antoine Pin to lead Hublot and TAG Heuer, respectively, into the future with their expertise and passion for watches.

The Fusion Of Art And Time: Hublot Arsham Droplet Unveiled

If you think that a pocket watch is a thing of the past, it’s because you don’t know the work of Daniel Arsham, who together with Hublot has just presented the Hublot Arsham Droplet.

Arsham is a North American artist known for reinventing old pieces into contemporary objects aligned with a futuristic vision.

When the artist’s vision is combined with the mastery of the watchmaking house Hublot, the result is visible in the new Arsham Droplet, which presents itself as a reinterpretation of a modern pocket watch, and not only that, but we’ll get there, inspired by fluid and organic shapes and made from titanium and sapphire glass.

The watch, which comes with an intriguing shape, features a sandwich construction based on a shiny titanium structure with two droplet shape crystals with the dimensions of 73.20 mm x 52.60 mm x 22.50 mm, where the 17 O-rings and the Hublot H-shaped screws stand out. The watch also comes with rubber bumpers in the artist’s green colour that protect it against falls and allow better grip when handling, as well as Arasham’s signature on the back, and also has 30m of water resistance.

The sapphire crystal that surrounds the watch reveals the In-house hand-wound Meca 10 which, thanks to its twin barrels, offers an impressive 10 days of power reserve that comes with an indicator that lets you know how many days are left.

The new Hublot Arsham Droplet, which in addition to being a pocket watch can alternatively be used as a pendant or table clock, is available in 99 units and comes with a price tag of €92,000.

Hublot Presents The Big Bang Unico Ice Bang

The 2006 model inspires the new Hublot Big Bang Unico Ice Bang but now comes in shades of black and grey, with more friendly dimensions and an openworked dial.

bracing a black ceramic case measuring 42mm wide by 14.50mm high and coming with a micro-blasted finish, a bezel crafted by Tungsten with black screws and polished bevels. Sapphire crystal front and back, crown at 3 o’clock flanked by two pushers and 100m water resistance.

On the openworked dial, we can find two asymmetrical counters with the largest at 3 o’clock where there is a 60-minute register that integrates a date aperture and a smaller skeletonized one on the opposite side at 9 o’clock with running seconds. Arabic numerals and hour markers that, like the hands, come filled with Super-LumiNova.

Inside runs the In-House Caliber HUB1280 automatic movement, equipped with the flyback chronograph and column wheel, which reaches 28,800 Vph and offers up to 3 days of power reserve.

The new timepiece comes attached to a textile strap with Velcro to which an extra rubber strap is added. It is a limited edition of 100 pieces that can be purchased exclusively at the brand’s online Boutique for €26,200.

Hublot Presents The Incredible MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System

The new Hublot MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System is perhaps the most surprising novelty brought by the watch brand to the LVMH week, embracing a vertical and bold design.

It is the brand’s CEO who states that total freedom was given to the brand’s creatives and designers to build this true work of ‘engineering’, translated into a watch in which, in addition to the movement, its reading is also done vertically.

The watch, which comes in a robust rectangular case with rounded corners almost reminiscent of a bottle canteen, is made of microblasted titanium with dimensions of 41.50mm by 54.10mm and a thickness of 22.40mm, curved sapphire glass that also extends over the profile, fluted large crown at the top that is intended to wind its manual movement and another smaller one that is hidden in the rear sapphire crystal and that is used to set the time, and finally, 30m of water resistance.

But it is on the dial that the whole show takes place, where the hours and minutes are supplied through two central rotating cylinders, the seconds on a ring housed in the tourbillon cage at the bottom, and also, a power reserve indicator that is positioned between the hours /minutes and seconds whose green and red markers leave no room for doubt. Lastly, it is difficult to miss the two white gold weights mounted on a rail on each side of the case, one of them painted in white with the brand’s lettering and the other with ‘MP-10’.

At its heart lives the In-house Caliber HUB9013 with 592 components that took five years to develop and offers up to 2 days of power reserve.

The watch comes attached to a black textured rubber strap with a titanium folding clasp with the brand’s signature.

This limited edition of just 50 pieces hits the market with a price of €275,000.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll already know that I’m an avowed fan of the classic, however I can’t help but admire the effort, dedication and history behind each of these timepieces. And this has already caught my attention, so it will certainly be one of the pieces that I intend to delve into in detail in this year’s edition of Watches And Wonders.

Hublot Opens LVMH Week With Three Colorful New Arrivals

As has become tradition, in addition to the variety of premium materials that we can find in Hublot watches, the brand also strives to bring a lot of color, and it is in this regard that it presents us with three new novelties, starting with the new Big Bang Unico Green Saxem and followed by of two new Classic Fusion Orlinski Ceramic, Yellow Magic and Sky Blue.

Hublot Big Bang Unico Green Saxem

The new Big Bang, contrary to what we might think and betrayed by our vision, does not come in a sapphire case but rather than in a Saxem case, a material made from sapphire aluminum oxide and rare Earth mineral according to the brand.

The flyback chronograph comes in a 42mm by 14.50mm case, with a bezel fixed using 6 screws and many others that serve to fix the middle case that come with a black PVD treatment matching the tone of the titanium crown and pushers positioned in profile, sapphire crystal on the front and back and a ribbed rubber strap with a titanium folding clasp.

On the skeletonized dial, the bridges that come with a black PVD finish stand out, sitting on them applied Arabic numerals and hour markers, pencil hands, all filled with Super-LumiNova in the same green tone as the case, a 60-minute counter at 3 o’clock which incorporates a date window next to the crown, a running seconds at 9 o’clock and a view of the movement’s column wheel at 6 o’clock.

Inside operates the Caliber HUB1280 automatic movement that runs 28,800 Vph and offers up to 3 days of power reserve. Also noteworthy is its Tungsten rotor visible through the open rear case.

This limited edition of 100 pieces hits the market with a price of €121,000.

Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Orlinski

The other novelty is the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Orlinski, which comes in two variants, Yellow Magic and Sky Blue.

And starting with what unites them, the two new watches come in a shiny ceramic case measuring 45mm wide by 12.50mm high painted yellow or blue, which, as is Richard Orlinski’s trademark, features angular edges, a bezel fixed with 6 screws, sapphire crystal on both sides, fluted crown at 3 o’clock and integrated smooth rubber strap matching the case hue with a titanium folding clasp.

The blacked-out bridges once again stand out on the skeletonized dial, adorned with a tourbillon at 6 o’clock and a power reserve indicator at 8:30. In the yellow edition, the bridges receive a black PVD finish while the hour markers, the power reserve indicator and the hands are painted yellow. In the blue version, the bridges come with gray PVD coated and where we can find silver rhodium plated accents and a blue rehaunt.

Inside, the new Classic Fusion Tourbillon comes equipped with the HUB6021 manual movement that operates at a frequency of 3 Hz and offers up to 5 days of power reserve.

Each of these editions is limited to 30 pieces and can be purchased for a price of €99,000.

Musical Chairs In LVMH’s Watch Division With Frédéric Arnault Taking The Lead

Frédéric Arnault, who joined TAG Heuer in 2017 and became its CEO in 2020, has been appointed CEO of LVMH Watches, overseeing Hublot, TAG Heuer, and Zenith. He will report to Stéphane Bianchi, CEO of LVMH Watches & Jewelry Division. Having successfully transformed and accelerated TAG Heuer in the past 6 years, Arnault’s new role aims to ensure strong and sustainable growth for the Watch Maisons under LVMH’s umbrella.

Julien Tornare, previously CEO of Zenith since 2017, is now appointed CEO of TAG Heuer. With a substantial background in the watchmaking industry, Tornare is expected to continue the development of TAG Heuer and maximize the value of its iconic ranges.

Benoit de Clerck takes over as CEO of Zenith, succeeding Julien Tornare. His extensive experience within the Richemont Group and international business development is anticipated to contribute to Zenith’s continued innovation and the advancement of Swiss watchmaking.

Under this restructuring, Julien Tornare, Benoit de Clerck, and Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, will report to Frédéric Arnault. Stéphane Bianchi, CEO of LVMH Watches & Jewelry Division, expressed confidence in Frédéric Arnault’s leadership and is eager to see the impact of his vision on the three Watch Maisons.

Hublot Presents The New Big Bang Unico Magic City

Hublot reveals its latest creation, the Big Bang Unico Magic City, a limited edition of 35 pieces that pays tribute to Miami.

The new timepiece comes in a ceramic case with a black rubber strap and an openworked dial adorned with a palm tree and pink and blue accents.

Following Miami Design Week, the Swiss watch brand presents the new timepiece that arrives with the traditional round-shaped case, here in ceramic and with dimensions of 42mm in diameter by 14.50mm in thickness, and therefore in a more moderate size than its pairs in 45mm, mainly with micro-blasted finish, smooth bezel secured with 6 screws, integrated lugs, sapphire glass, screw-down crown with guards and flanked by two pushers, sapphire case back and 100m water resistance.

On the openworked dial, we can find a black minute chapter ring which, together with the applied hour markers and the two register elements, is painted in pink on the left quadrant, turquoise on the right one and purple on the centre. The layout includes a 60-minute counter at 3 o’clock with a date aperture on the side of the crown that changes due to the grey disc with the 31 days of the month that covers the entire perimeter of the dial for everyone to see, running seconds at 9 o’clock adorned with the shape of a palm tree in the background whose tones follow the same colour scheme mentioned above, skeletonized hands filled with luminescent material on the tips in shades of turquoise and a lollipop chronograph centre seconds with the brand’s logo as a counterweight.

At the heart of the flyback chronograph runs the In-house automatic movement Caliber HUB1280 with a column wheel that operates at 4Hz and offers up to 3 days of power reserve.

In addition to the textured rubber strap on which the watch is attached, the set includes an extra calf leather strap in the same tones as the pink and turquoise dial elements with a gradient effect, which hits the market at USD 24,700.

Introducing The Hublot Big Bang Unico Azur

It is in the spirit of the bathing season that Hublot has just launched the new Big Bang Unique Azur, a limited edition of only 50 units that become even more exclusive because they can only be purchased in Monaco and St. Tropez boutiques.

And if you like summer, sea and nautical sports then this Hublot is the perfect choice, as it wears a blue and white ceramics case that exults the whole spirit of adventure and maritime exploitation.

The most recent “Summer” Hublot comes in a case size of 42mm diameter by 14.50mm thick and 52mm of distance Lug-to-Lug in blue ceramic, which receives a white ceramics bezel stuck with six screws matching the tone of the profile of the case and the rubber strap, sapphire glass ahead and back, silver crown followed by two pushers and 100m water resistance.

On the open dial the traditional layout with two asymmetric counters that has a 60-Minute totalizer at 3 o’clock with an aperture date window and a running seconds at 9 o’clock and both with a silver outer ring. Applied Arabic numerals and skeletonized hands all filled with luminescent material, blue minute chapter ring, chronograph centre seconds hand with brand’s logo shape as a counterweight, and blue bridges and silver elements of the movement complete the dial.

Inside it’s the Caliber HUB1280 automatic movement that operates bringing to life the Flyback Chronograph with column wheel, reaching 28,800 VPH and offering up to 72 hours of reserve.

The watch comes with two strap options, one in textured blue rubber strap with white stitching and another in white fabric.
