Hublot has once again collaborated with SORAI (Save Our Rhinos Africa and India) to launch a new limited edition watch, the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon. SORAI, founded by former cricketer Kevin Pietersen, is dedicated to conserving endangered rhinos, whose numbers have dwindled from 500,000 in the early 20th century to just over 27,000 today. The threat of extinction is exacerbated by illegal poaching for rhino horns, which are falsely believed to have medicinal properties.

If you think that a pocket watch is a thing of the past, it’s because you don’t know the work of Daniel Arsham, who together with Hublot has just presented the Hublot Arsham Droplet.

Arsham is a North American artist known for reinventing old pieces into contemporary objects aligned with a futuristic vision.

When the artist’s vision is combined with the mastery of the watchmaking house Hublot, the result is visible in the new Arsham Droplet, which presents itself as a reinterpretation of a modern pocket watch, and not only that, but we’ll get there, inspired by fluid and organic shapes and made from titanium and sapphire glass.

The 2006 model inspires the new Hublot Big Bang Unico Ice Bang but now comes in shades of black and grey, with more friendly dimensions and an openworked dial.
