Hublot in Partnership with Artist Samuel Ross Reveal the New Big Bang Tourbillon
Hublot’s collaboration with several talented artists and designers has been going on for over a decade through the “Hublot Loves Art” initiative, which has resulted in watches that provide new interpretations of time and timekeeping.
The most recent collaboration is with the multidisciplinary artist Samuel Ross, who in 2019 was awarded the prestigious Hublot Design Award with the creation of his sculpture that unites granite and steel materials, and one year later became an official brand ambassador.
The result of this new collaboration, which was inspired by the award-winning 40 cm sculpture, results in the new Big Bang Tourbillon Samuel Ross with a 44mm stylized hexagonal case, which is distinguished by the titanium honeycomb mesh that is applied to the sapphire dial, case, case back and strap, which results in a light and comfortable watch structure. The orange colour chosen for the bracelet, accents on the tourbillon crown and bridge, and side bumpers that protect the case, represent energy and optimism for the designer and contrast with the grey of the case and its bezel.
Inside the watch is powered by the Caliber HUB6035 which operates at 21,600 Vph and offers up to 72 hours of power reserve.
Only 50 units will be produced and distributed by the brand’s official boutiques around the world and will be available for a price of € 115,000.
