Farer Shrinks Its Cushion Case To 35mm With Two New Dial Variants
British watch brand Farer continues to expand its distinctive Cushion Case lineup with the introduction of a new 35 mm version, debuting with two models: Furneaux and Belzoni. The new release revisits the design language of the original Cushion Case while adapting it to a more compact format, offering refined proportions and fresh dial textures.

A Redesigned Cushion Case in a Smaller Format
The Cushion Case collection first appeared in 2022 and quickly became a key pillar of the brand’s catalog. While previous models featured a 38.50 mm case, the new generation introduces a 35 mm stainless steel case with a 10 mm thickness, making it more compact while maintaining the visual presence that defines the collection.

Rather than simply scaling down the existing case, Farer redesigned several elements to preserve its character. The watch now features a stepped bezel with sharp edges, giving it a more defined profile. This is combined with angled lugs and barrel-shaped case profile, creating a silhouette that leans toward a tonneau-style form.
These adjustments ensure the watch maintains strong wrist presence despite its smaller diameter, while also enhancing the architectural feel of the case.
Two Distinct Dial Personalities
As is typical for Farer, the two models differ by more than color alone.
The Furneaux version features a deep red dial with a rugged, cratered texture, in contrast, the Belzoni adopts a teal dial with a radial texture, creating a smoother and more refined visual effect.

Both dials are produced using the same layered finishing technique. Multiple layers of paint are applied and then spun at high speed, creating subtle gradients and the distinctive textures seen on each model. The process is completed with a clear lacquer coating and polishing, enhancing depth and vibrancy in the final finish.
A Different Display Layout
The smaller dial diameter required a change in the watch’s display layout. Unlike the larger cushion case models, which include a small seconds subdial, the new 35 mm versions use central seconds.

The watches retain Farer’s recognizable design language with Alpha-shaped hour and minute hands, a central seconds hand with the brand’s signature “A” tip, and a clean, balanced dial layouts adapted to the smaller case size.
Manual-Winding Movement
Inside the watch is the Sellita SW210‑1, a manual-winding elaboré-grade calibre that provides a 45-hour power reserve. The movement change aligns with the new central-seconds configuration and contributes to the watch’s relatively slim profile.

Price and Availability
The new Farer Cushion Case 35 mm Furneaux and Belzoni are priced at GBP 1,045, matching the price of the larger 38.50 mm models. Despite the reduced size, the watches introduce a redesigned case architecture and new dial finishes, expanding the collection to suit a wider range of wrists and preferences.
With this release, Farer adds another distinctive chapter to its Cushion Case series, combining compact dimensions with the brand’s signature focus on color, texture, and thoughtful design details.
