Two Sides Of Eberhard: Scafograf 200 MCMLIX Meets Gilda Peacock
At Watches and Wonders Geneva, Eberhard & Co. introduced two distinct timepieces that reflect different facets of its watchmaking identity: the vintage-inspired Scafograf 200 MCMLIX diver and the more dress, design-driven Gilda Peacock.
Scafograf 200 MCMLIX: A Modern Tribute to a 1959 Icon
The new Scafograf 200 MCMLIX takes direct inspiration from the original Scafograf 100 launched in 1959, the brand’s first professional diving watch. This contemporary interpretation balances historical design cues with updated specifications suited to modern expectations.
Housed in a 39 mm stainless steel case, the watch embraces a more compact format that aligns closely with vintage proportions while remaining versatile for everyday wear. It complements the larger 43 mm Scafograf 300 MCMLIX, offering an alternative for those who prefer a more restrained size.

Built for underwater performance, the watch delivers water resistance up to 200 meters. Its robust construction includes a screw-down crown with protective guards, a screw-in caseback engraved with the collection’s signature starfish motif, and a helium escape valve positioned at 9 o’clock—an uncommon feature at this depth rating, typically associated with professional saturation diving.
The domed sapphire crystal features anti-reflective treatment, enhancing legibility, while the unidirectional rotating bezel incorporates a ceramic insert available in black or blue. The bezel includes vintage-style luminous markings, particularly emphasized in the first 15 minutes for dive timing.

The dial comes in four variations: black or blue dégradé, as well as black or blue paired with a contrasting silver-toned minute track. Across all versions, applied hour markers with polished edges are filled with vintage-toned lume. The triangular markers at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock directly reference the 1959 original, reinforcing the historical link.
Hand design follows the same logic. The hour hand features a distinctive triangular tip, complemented by a baton-style minute hand and a central seconds hand with a circular luminescent element, ensuring clarity in low-light conditions.

Powering the watch is a Swiss automatic movement beating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offering approximately 40 hours of power reserve.
The Scafograf 200 MCMLIX is available on several strap options, including a vintage-style water-repellent leather strap, the brand’s Chassis stainless steel bracelet, and a Milanese mesh bracelet.

Black / blue dial, stainless steel case, 39 mm diameter, sapphire crystal, 200 meters water resistance. Stainless steel mesh bracelet with a folding clasp / vintage leather strap with steel hardware. Gilda Peacock: Decorative Craft in a Compact Form
Alongside its tool watch offering, Eberhard & Co. also presented the Gilda Peacock, a piece that emphasizes decorative craftsmanship and refined proportions.
The watch features a polished stainless steel case measuring 32.10 x 38.00 mm, paired with a curved sapphire crystal that follows the case profile. With a thickness of just 7.60 mm, the overall design remains slim and elegant, supported by a quartz movement that allows for these compact dimensions. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.

The dial is the centerpiece of the Gilda Peacock. It begins with a blue dégradé base, over which an intricate laser-engraved pattern is applied, inspired by peacock feathers. This process creates a textured surface that interacts with light, producing shifting reflections and depth. A single Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock maintains orientation, while Dauphine hands provide contrast against the richly detailed background.
Inside, the watch is powered by a quartz calibre dedicated to hours and minutes, prioritizing slimness and reliability. The caseback features decorative engraving, adding an additional layer of finishing not immediately visible during wear.

The watch is paired with a blue alligator strap accented by decorative stitching and secured with a steel pin buckle bearing the brand’s emblem.
