Czapek brings together two contrasting elements in the Antarctique Tourbillon Victory Green: the warmth of yellow gold and the deep tones of a forest-green dial. Limited to just 10 pieces, this exclusive edition combines the contemporary design of the Antarctique collection with an openworked flying tourbillon and an intricate hand-guilloché pattern.
Founded in 2015, Czapek introduced the Antarctique in 2020 as its interpretation of the luxury sports watch, pairing an integrated bracelet with a distinctive case shape and refined finishing. The Tourbillon Victory Green builds on this design with a more elaborate display, placing mechanical architecture and traditional decorative techniques at the centre of the watch.
A 40mm Yellow Gold Case
The case measures 40 mm in diameter and 11.50 mm thick, with a barrel-shaped profile that flows naturally into the integrated bracelet. Its predominantly vertically brushed surfaces contrast with hand-polished bevels, highlighting the transitions between the different elements.
Rather than using a conventional metal bezel, the Antarctique Tourbillon features a raised box-shaped sapphire crystal on the front, creating an unobstructed view of the dial and movement. A second sapphire crystal on the caseback provides a view of the movement from the opposite side.
Water resistance is rated at 50 metres, lower than the 120 metres offered by most other Antarctique models, reflecting the emphasis on displaying the tourbillon and its surrounding mechanics.
A Forest-Green Guilloché Dial
The dial is the defining feature of the Victory Green edition, combining a deep forest-green PVD treatment with the warmth of the yellow gold case and hands.
Its hand-guilloché decoration, produced by Czapek’s long-standing specialist partner Metalem, features the Singularité pattern. Composed of numerous interlocking rhomboids that progressively shrink towards the centre, the design creates a vortex-like effect inspired by astronomical phenomena, including black holes.
To preserve the uninterrupted guilloché surface, the hour markers are positioned on an elevated outer flange. Their dark-green outlines and Super-LumiNova coating maintain legibility, while the curved, openworked hour and minute hands are finished in gold to match the case.
The Flying Tourbillon
At the heart of the display is a flying tourbillon, positioned at 6 o’clock and arranged along the dial’s vertical axis. The barrel, gear train and tourbillon cage follow a line from 12 to 6 o’clock, creating a balanced composition around the central openworked bridge.
This arrangement gives the watch a distinctive architectural appearance, allowing the movement’s mechanical elements to become an integral part of the dial rather than remaining hidden beneath it.
In-House Calibre 9
Powering the watch is the automatic Calibre 9, conceived, designed and machined in-house by Czapek. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3Hz), the movement provides a power reserve of 72 hours.
The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback, where a gold rotor decorated with a hand-engraved version of the Singularité pattern echoes the dial’s guilloché. The finishing reinforces the connection between the mechanical construction and the watch’s decorative identity.
Bracelet and Strap Options
The Antarctique Tourbillon Victory Green is equipped with an integrated yellow gold bracelet featuring Czapek’s Easy Release system, allowing the wearer to change the configuration without complicated tools.
The limited edition is also available with alternative strap options, including alligator leather and rubber, offering different interpretations of the watch’s combination of precious materials and contemporary sports-watch design.
