Cimier Steps Into The Field Watch Segment With The New 47° North Collection
Cimier continues expanding its mechanical watch offering with the introduction of the 47° North collection, a five-piece series designed around practicality, durability, and classic field-watch readability. The name pays homage to the latitude of Biel/Bienne—Cimier’s home base—whose landscapes and watchmaking heritage serve as the inspiration for this new line.

A Balanced 38mm Case Made for Everyday Wear
Each model in the 47° North collection is built in a 316L stainless steel case measuring 38 mm in diameter, 11.25 mm in height, and 46 mm lug-to-lug. These proportions ensure a comfortable fit on most wrists while preserving the straightforward character expected of a field watch. The case is primarily brushed, with polished chamfers adding a hint of refinement. A box-style sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating improves dial clarity, and the combination of a screw-down crown and a sapphire exhibition caseback guarantees a solid water-resistance rating of 100 metres.

Readable, Functional Dials Across Five Colourways
The collection is offered in five dial variations—black, white, gradient pebble grey, moss green, and river blue. Each dial features a domed, finely grained texture that enhances legibility without compromising the utilitarian aesthetic. Large Arabic numerals are printed with crisp precision, accompanied by a minute track that allows for quick and accurate reading. The numerals and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova GL Old Radium to provide visibility in low-light conditions. A bright orange central seconds hand, which incorporates a rectangular luminous block, brings contrast to the dial and ensures immediate readability at a glance.
Powered by the ETA 2824-2
Inside the 47° North watches, Cimier uses the dependable Swiss automatic ETA 2824-2 calibre. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, delivers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours, and includes a stop-seconds mechanism for precise time setting. Through the sapphire caseback, the movement reveals its rhodium-plated surfaces decorated with Geneva stripes, blued screws, and a custom Cimier rotor distinguished by an orange cut-out that reflects the brand’s contemporary design language.

Straps Matched to Each Dial
The watches are paired with calf-leather straps that complement the dial colours. Customers can choose smooth-finish leather in black or cognac, or suede leather in pebble grey, moss green, or river blue. Each option is secured with a traditional pin buckle and selected to match the personality of its corresponding dial version.
