Carl F. Bucherer has unveiled its latest Heritage Wordtimer Collection, a modern take on the classic travel timepiece originally introduced in 2005. This new release offers a more compact design, featuring a 39mm case that caters to enthusiasts with more moderate wrist sizes. The collection includes three models: two in stainless steel, which join the permanent collection, and one in rose gold, available in a limited edition of just 88 pieces.

The Carl F. Bucherer Heritage Wordtimer features a polished round case with a smooth bezel and a double-domed sapphire crystal. Measuring 39mm in diameter and 10.25mm in thickness, this timepiece is built for comfort without compromising on style. Two independent crowns are situated at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions. The crown at 3 o’clock is used to set the local time and wind the movement, while the 9 o’clock crown manages the 24-hour disk, enabling a second-time zone display. With an open case back secured by four screws attached to the lugs, the watch is water-resistant up to 30 meters.

The dial comes in a variety of finishes, with silver tones for both the rose gold and steel models and black for one of the steel variants. A peripheral ring displays 24 cities from around the world, each representing a different time zone. This ring works in conjunction with a 24-hour rotating disk controlled by the extra crown, offering a highly functional world time complication. In the centre of the dial, applied indexes and two central hands, either rose gold or rhodium-plated to match the case material, indicate the local time of the city positioned at the 12 o’clock marker.

Powering the Carl F. Bucherer Heritage Wordtimer is the COSC-certified CFB A2020 automatic movement with peripheral technology. This innovative movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a power reserve of up to 55 hours. The bridges of the movement are elegantly decorated with Côtes de Genève, enhancing the timepiece’s overall aesthetic appeal.

The new Wordtimer is available with a choice of straps. A black textile wool strap with a pin buckle is standard for both the rose gold and steel models. For the steel version, there is also the option of a multi-link stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp. Prices for the collection start at €7,500 for the stainless steel models and go up to €14,800 for the rose gold limited edition.
