Bovet Récital 12 Shines In Malachite And Tiger’s Eye

Bovet continues to expand its Récital 12 line with two striking new editions, each showcasing natural stone dials in Malachite and Tiger’s Eye. Known for its dedication to artisanal craftsmanship and in-house watchmaking, the brand presents these models as a fusion of refined aesthetics and technical mastery.

A Titanium Case With Balanced Proportions

The Récital 12 is crafted in Grade 5 titanium, a material that combines lightness with durability. Its Dimier-style case measures 40 mm in diameter and just 9.80 mm thick, making it both elegant and contemporary. Sapphire crystals on both sides provide full visibility of the movement, while water resistance is rated at 30 meters.

An Inverted Movement Architecture

Powering the watch is a hand-wound movement built with Bovet’s characteristic inverted layout, allowing the mechanics to be appreciated from the dial side. Comprising 227 components, the calibre features an off-centre display for the hours and minutes positioned at three o’clock, a distinctive three-armed running seconds display at nine o’clock, and a power reserve indicator at the top of the dial. It delivers an impressive seven-day power reserve and is finished to the brand’s demanding standards, with Geneva stripes, polished chamfers, and blued screws that highlight Bovet’s attention to detail.

Natural Stone Dials

For the first time in its two-century history, Bovet introduces natural stone dials to the Récital collection. The Malachite edition presents deep green tones with vivid striations, while the Tiger’s Eye version reveals golden-brown shades that shift dynamically under the light. Both materials are notoriously challenging to work with, requiring ultra-thin slices that are reinforced and polished to preserve their brilliance while ensuring long-term stability.

Bracelet and Fine Details

Each model is paired with a titanium bracelet that matches the case finish. The bracelet incorporates a folding clasp with a discreet three-millimetre fine adjustment, and when closed, the V-shaped links create a subtle infinity symbol that enhances the elegance of the design.

Limited Editions

The Récital 12 Malachite and Tiger’s Eye editions are each limited to 60 pieces worldwide. Both models are delivered with a five-year warranty and are priced at CHF 29,800 (excluding taxes).

This year we celebrate the arrival of the new Lunar Year of the Dragon, which began on February 10th and many watch brands did not want to be left out by creating timepieces dedicated to the theme.

Here’s a quick look at some of these brands that we hadn’t had the opportunity to talk about and that deserved our attention.

The watch, which comes in a robust 46.50mm case in 18k red gold, has as its main dish a detailed sculpted dragon that occupies a large part of its dial, on which we can also find a time dial protected by a translucent blue quartz at 12 o’clock, a worldtime display with the several cities at 4 o’clock and a window with the moon phases in mother-of-pearl at 9 o’clock.

The watch is powered by the manual wound Caliber 17DM06-DT that provides an impressive five days of power reserve and is attached to a blue leather alligator strap matching the dial.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Enamel Dragon

Despite its discreet black main face decorated with rose gold accents with time function matching the case material, it hides on the back through its slide case a gold dragon engraved in relief on a jet-black Gran Feu Enamel.

At its heart operates the Caliber 822 manual movement, which offers up to 42 hours of power reserve and is attached to a black leather alligator strap.

Vacheron Constantin Métiers D’Art The Legend of The Chinese Zodiac – Year of The Dragon

The 40mm 18k pink gold case focuses on its red Grand Feu Enamel dial with golden details, which features a Dragon carved in 22k yellow gold by the brand’s artisans and four windows with jumping hours, minutes, weekday and date.

The watch is powered by the In-house 2460 G4 automatic movement that provides up to 40 hours of power reserve and is attached to a brown leather strap.

There is yet another variant in 950 platinum that comes with a blue dial.

BOVET Opens its First Boutique in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

BOVET 1822 opened its first boutique in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the 21st of April, in partnership with Saudi Jawahir Co., a very well-established luxury house. The new boutique, located on the ground floor of Olaya Towers across from Centria Mall in Riyadh, is more than 240 square meters in size and features a complete collection of BOVET timepieces.

“The collectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are very dear to us and we are pleased to be working with Saudi Jawahir here,” says Mr. Pascal Raffy, owner, BOVET 1822. “We have a great partnership, and the boutique is located in the prime location in Riyadh. We are looking forward to continuing our great relationship with collectors in the Kingdom and having a flagship boutique here is so important. We plan to expand our presence in the Kingdom in addition to this boutique. We will be holding many events in Riyadh and the collection the boutique has is second to none.”

BOVET 1822 has a long history of making fine timepieces, with this year being its 200th anniversary.

Collectors and watch lovers in the Kingdom are ready for the BOVET boutique, and it will present the House of BOVET in its unique environment, almost as if the collectors had made the trip to the BOVET Castle in Switzerland.

The boutique is situated on the prestigious Olaya Street, the main luxury shopping destination in Riyadh. BOVET is on the ground floor, with access directly from the street.

This boutique is the first step in developing the brand in the Kingdom and both BOVET and Saudi Jawahir are committed to being a part of the future of the country.
