Bell & Ross BR-X3 Becomes Official Timing Watch Of Defender Rally
Bell & Ross has announced a new partnership with Defender Rally, becoming the team’s Official Timing Partner for its campaign in the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC). The collaboration officially debuted at the Dakar Rally 2026, currently underway in Saudi Arabia, marking the start of a multi-event program across some of the most demanding motorsport environments in the world.

As part of the agreement, Bell & Ross will support Defender Rally throughout the full W2RC season. The championship calendar includes rally-raid events in Portugal and Spain, Argentina, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates, placing both team and equipment under extreme mechanical and environmental stress.

The partnership places a clear spotlight on the Bell & Ross BR-X3 collection, with the BR-X3 Black Titanium serving as the central timepiece worn by the Defender Rally team during competition. The BR-X3 has already been explored in detail at Mr. Stateless, where we examined its position within the brand’s experimental lineup, its construction, and its technical specifications. Designed for use in harsh conditions, the BR-X3 Black Titanium reflects Bell & Ross’ focus on functional watchmaking. Its lightweight Grade 2 titanium case is engineered for durability and comfort, while the COSC-certified manufacture movement emphasizes precision timekeeping. High-contrast dial elements ensure optimal legibility, a key requirement in rally-raid environments where visibility and reliability are critical.

This collaboration also brings together two brands with a shared emphasis on performance and endurance. Defender Rally’s Dakar entry is based on the newly developed Defender Dakar D7X-R, a purpose-built competition vehicle created to withstand the extreme demands of rally-raid racing. We previously took an in-depth look at this machine, its engineering, and its Dakar ambitions in a dedicated article, which you can find here.
By partnering with Defender Rally, Bell & Ross continues to expand its presence in high-performance fields, complementing its long-standing involvement in aviation through collaborations with La Patrouille de France and the Rafale Solo Display. Once again, the brand positions its watches not just as design objects, but as professional instruments tested in real-world extreme conditions.
