Beda’a Angles Mecaline: The Signature Design Goes Mechanical

Beda’a expands its signature Angles collection with the introduction of the Angles Mecaline, a model that retains the sleek architectural design of the original quartz line while incorporating a Swiss mechanical movement.

Refined Geometry, Ultra-Slim Case

The Angles collection has always been defined by its octagonal bezel and sharply angled case construction, combining brushed and polished finishes across stepped profile. With the Mecaline, those elements remain intact in a stainless steel case measuring 37 mm x 34 mm and just 6 mm thick—only slightly taller than its quartz predecessor. Despite the mechanical upgrade, the watch maintains the same slim proportions and unisex appeal.

The crown has been redesigned for improved handling, while the bezel and crystal have been subtly reworked to keep the case as thin as possible. A solid steel caseback replaces a sapphire display back to preserve the ultra-slim profile. The watch offers 30 meters of water resistance.

Minimalist Dial with Mechanical Character

The dial of the Angles Mecaline stays true to the collection’s pared-down design language. The most notable change is the addition of a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, which introduces a sense of depth and balance without disrupting the overall minimalism. At launch, the model is offered in two glossy dial variations: one in classic black and the other in taupe-grey. Both are enhanced with a small seconds and feature lacquered surfaces paired with either circular or semi-matte sunray finishing on the subdial. The design is completed with sharp Dauphine hands, ensuring excellent legibility while staying consistent with the watch’s understated character.

Swiss Hand-Wound Movement

Inside, the watch is powered by the ETA 7001, a hand-wound calibre widely appreciated for its reliability and slim construction. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it delivers a 42-hour power reserve and is known for straightforward maintenance, making it a practical as well as elegant choice.

Matching Straps and Availability

The Angles Mecaline is paired with supple Epsom leather straps, offered in black or taupe-grey to match the dial. Each strap is hand-stitched, lined in leather for comfort, and tapers to a polished steel pin buckle.

The Beda’a Angles Mecaline is now available as a permanent addition to the brand’s portfolio, priced at USD 1,456.
