Casio Sharpens Its Automatic Watch Line With The New Edifice EFK-110D
Casio continues its expansion into the mechanical watch segment with the introduction of the new Edifice EFK-110D, a refined evolution of the brand’s first automatic model. Following the debut of the EFK-100D, this latest release builds on the same design language while introducing several meaningful upgrades, including a more compact case profile and a new automatic movement.
The new model reinforces Casio’s ambition to establish a stronger presence in the accessible mechanical watch category, combining sporty everyday styling with practical specifications and a competitive price point.
A More Compact and Wearable Case
At first glance, the EFK-110D retains the familiar aesthetic established by its predecessor. The stainless steel case continues to feature a balanced mix of mirror-polished and hairline-brushed surfaces, paired with a slim polished bezel that gives the watch a clean and contemporary appearance.
One of the most notable updates is the revised case size. The new model now measures 38 mm in diameter, down from the previous 39 mm, while the lug-to-lug distance is slightly reduced to 43 mm. Thickness has also been trimmed, now coming in at 11.80 mm, making it noticeably slimmer than the previous generation.

These updated proportions should make the EFK-110D even more versatile on the wrist, offering improved comfort for daily wear while maintaining a sporty presence.
The watch remains fitted with an integrated H-link stainless steel bracelet, a design choice that continues to give the Edifice line its modern, cohesive look.
Casio has also maintained the watch’s 100 meters of water resistance, making it suitable for everyday use and occasional swimming.
Textured Dial and Sapphire Crystal
The dial design stays faithful to the previous model, featuring the distinctive electroformed textured surface inspired by forged carbon. This gives the watch additional depth and visual interest, particularly as light interacts with the textured pattern.
Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal, an important feature at this price segment, offering excellent scratch resistance and enhancing long-term durability.

Casio has also made a practical layout adjustment by moving the date window to the 3 o’clock position, replacing the 6 o’clock placement found on the earlier model. This change contributes to a more traditional and balanced dial configuration.
The applied hour markers and hands preserve the clean, sporty identity of the collection, while the dial text remains minimal with “Edifice Casio” at 12 o’clock and “Automatic” above 6 o’clock.
New Miyota Automatic Movement
A major technical update comes from inside the case.
The EFK-110D replaces the Seiko NH35 movement used in the first generation with the Japan-made Miyota 8215 automatic caliber. This movement is widely recognized for its reliability and has become a staple in many affordable mechanical watches.

One of the key advantages of the Miyota 8215 is its thinner construction, which has helped Casio reduce the overall thickness of the watch.
The movement remains visible through a screw-down exhibition caseback, allowing wearers to view the mechanical caliber in action.
Available Dial Options
At launch, the new Edifice EFK-110D is available in three dial colors: white, blue and black.
Unlike the earlier collection, the green dial option does not return in this initial release.

The black dial version also appears to move away from the forged carbon construction seen previously, instead adopting the same electroformed textured finish used across the rest of the lineup.
Price and Availability
The new Casio Edifice EFK-110D is expected to arrive later this month with a European retail price of € 279.
Given the positioning of the previous generation, the new model continues to offer strong value in the entry-level automatic segment, especially considering features such as the sapphire crystal, integrated bracelet, exhibition caseback, and 100m water resistance.

For enthusiasts looking for an affordable daily mechanical watch from one of the industry’s most recognizable names, the EFK-110D presents an appealing evolution of Casio’s automatic offering.
