Calatrava 24 Hours Among the Novelties Brought by Patek Philippe
Among the novelties presented by Patek Philippe in this edition of Watches and Wonders, we highlight some Calatravas, Aquanauts and Pilot Travel Time Chronograph.
Calatrava Travel Time 5224R-001
This distinctive timepiece, clad in a 42mm rose gold case with a three-position crown, features a blue 24-hour dial, which interestingly comes with the noon at 12 o’clock instead of the traditional 6 o’clock position. On the dial you can also find a double railway track for hours and minutes, applied Arabic hour markers, two central hour hands (one for the home and the other for the local time), a minute hand and a small seconds at 6 o’clock.
This is all possible thanks to the micro-rotor In-house Caliber 31-260, which operates at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 48 hours of power reserve. The new automatic movement can be seen through the open rear case.
The watch is offered with a calfskin nubuck bracelet in the same hue as the dial and can be had for a price of €58,310
Calatrava 6007G-001 (yellow), 6007G-010 (red) and 6007G-011 (blue)
The three new Calatravas are similar in almost everything to the steel 6007A launched in 2020 and are distinguished from each other by the different colours in the dial and bracelet details.
The new Calatrava, which now comes in a 40mm by 9mm white gold case, features a black dial with stamped guilloché in the centre, applied gold Arabic numerals and hands all filled with Super-LumiNova, central seconds hand in the same colour as the details, minute and hour track with details in different colours and a date window at 3 o’clock.
Inside runs the new Caliber 26-330 that operates at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 45 hours of power reserve.
The watch is attached to a black calfskin strap with a carbon motif, stitching in yellow, red or blue according to the respective reference and can be purchased for the price of €38,470.
Aquanaut
The flyback chronograph 5968R-001 comes in a 42.2mm by 11.9mm rose gold case, with a sunburst brown dial, applied gold Arabic numerals and hands all filled with Super-LumiNova, a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock, a centre chronograph seconds hand and a date window at 3 o’clock.
Inside, it is powered by the 308-part Caliber 28-520 C automatic movement, which operates at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 55 hours of power reserve.
The watch is offered with a composite brown strap and can be purchased for a price of €76,940.
The Aquanaut Luce collection debuts the Annual Calendar 5261R-001 for the first time and comes in a rose gold case measuring 39.9mm by 10.9mm and it only requires one adjustment per year at the end of February.
The blue dial comes with applied gold Arabic numerals and hands all filled with luminescent material, a day display at 3 o’clock, a date window at 6, a month display at 9 and a moon-phase aperture at 12.
Inside, the new Caliber 26-330 runs at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 45 hours of power reserve.
The watch is attached to a composite blue strap and can be purchased for a price of €62,510.
As the other two Aquanauts announced earlier, the Aquanaut 5268/200R-010 also wears a rose gold case with dimensions of 38.8mm by 8.5mm featuring 48 diamonds set on the bezel.
On the brown dial, applied gold Arabic numerals and hands all filled with lume, centre seconds hand and a date window at 3 o’clock.
Inside runs the 212-part Caliber 26-330 S C, which operates at a frequency of 4Hz and offers up to 45 hours of power reserve.
The watch, like the others, is offered with a composite strap matching the dial for a price of €54,700.
