Bulova Introduces Two New Lunar Pilot Chronographs and An Accutron Astronaut Revive
Let’s go for a new Pitch Watch
One-accented Bulova presents three new watches that recall its deep roots linked to space exploration.
Among the novelties are two new Bulova Lunar Pilot Chronographs and the latest is the revive of the Accutron Astronaut made through its now (since 2020) sub-brand Accutron.
Bulova Lunar Pilot Chronograph
There is not much to say about the new Lunar Pilot Chronographs, the biggest news is the resizing of the case, returning to the 43.5mm diameter of the original model that in 1972 stepped on the moon on the wrist of David Scott the commander of Apollo 15 mission.
The first features a dial and tachymeter bezel completely in black and only contradicted by the inscriptions, hour indexes and hands in white. The second presents a blue Panda dial, with the three registers in blue that extend to the bezel and outside the chronograph pushers.
Both watches are powered by the In-house NP20, a High Precision Quartz chronograph movement. In addition to the stainless steel bracelet that comes with the watches, a leather NATO strap is also supplied, in black and blue matching the tones of the dial.
The new Bulova Lunar Pilot Chronographs will be available for USD 895.
Accutron Astronaut
The new Accutron Astronaut, which is inspired by its original “T” model launched in 1968, now presents some new features, starting with the inclusion of a mechanical movement and a double 12-hour bezel instead of the previous 24-hour one.
So on the outside the new Astronaut wears a 41mm stainless steel case with a bi-colour GMT bezel, in black and grey, sapphire glass on the front and on the case back.
On the black dial, applied hour indexes and hands filled with luminescent material and an extra central GMT hand that works in partnership with the dual 12-hour bezel.
Inside, the Sellita SW330-1 automatic movement operates at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 42 hours of power reserve.
The watch is accompanied by the iconic stainless steel bullet bracelet.
It is a limited edition of 300 pieces and will be available for USD 3,500.
