Breitling Unveils The Navitimer B19 In Steel With A Stunning Ice Blue Dial
Breitling expands its Navitimer collection with the introduction of the new Navitimer B19 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph in stainless steel, featuring a striking ice blue dial. This latest release marks the first non-limited edition of the B19, making it a permanent addition to the brand’s lineup.
The Breitling Caliber B19, which debuted just a year ago, integrates both a perpetual calendar and chronograph complication. Previously, it was only available in rose gold across three models—the Premier Datora, Navitimer, and Super Chronograph—each limited to 140 pieces. Now, Breitling brings this high-complication movement to a stainless steel case, maintaining the same mechanical excellence while offering a more accessible option to collectors.
Crafted in robust stainless steel, the new Navitimer B19 features a 43mm case with a thickness of 14.94mm, exhibiting a polished and brushed finish. The timepiece is protected by sapphire crystal on both the front and back, showcasing the intricate movement within. The rotating slide rule bezel, a signature element of the Navitimer, is complemented by a signed crown at 3 o’clock flanked by two pushers. Additionally, two recessed correctors on the opposite side allow for precise adjustments to the perpetual calendar function. The watch offers a water resistance of up to 30 meters.
The sunburst ice blue dial is meticulously designed with a complex four-register layout. The 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock incorporates a date pointer, while the 6 o’clock sub-dial displays the month and a leap-year indicator. At 9 o’clock, the running seconds counter includes the day of the week, and the moonphase complication at 12 o’clock is adorned with Breitling’s lettering. Applied hour markers and hands filled with Super-LumiNova ensure excellent legibility, and the central chronograph seconds hand is distinguished by a light blue tip. The dial also features the iconic Navitimer inscription, reinforcing its heritage.
At the heart of the timepiece is the sophisticated Caliber B19 automatic movement, boasting 39 jewels, a column wheel mechanism, and COSC-certified chronometer precision. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this high-performance movement delivers an impressive four-day power reserve, ensuring reliability and precision.
The new Breitling Navitimer B19 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph is available with a black alligator leather strap with a steel pin buckle or a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp. The leather strap version is priced at $29,000, while the steel bracelet option comes in at $29,500. This latest release reinforces Breitling’s commitment to expanding its iconic Navitimer collection with high-complication timepieces that blend heritage with modern innovation.
