Breitling Presents The Renewed Avenger Collection
Inspired by aviation and debuted in the 2000s, Breitling’s Avenger collection has just presented an update across its entire line.
Starting from the outside, the downsizing of the cases, with the B01 Chronograph and GMT variants now being presented in 44mm and the automatic version in 42mm. The lugs now feature bevels while on the bezel the tabs are now polished.
There are also some new features on the dial, the previous Arabic numerals are now replaced by applied baton hour markers which, like the pencil hands, are filled with Super-LumiNova, and the previous winged brand logo is banned and in its place appears the ‘ B’ vintage of the brand.
All models also share a bezel with the distinct ‘Rider Tabs’, 300m water resistance, a black 60-minute or 24-hour (GMT) chapter ring, a date window, a centre seconds hand with a red arrow-shaped tip and COSC-certified movements.
B01 Chronograph 44
Comes in six variants, four in steel with a black, blue, green or sand dial and two others in black ceramic called ‘Night Mission’ with a black or yellow dial. All feature a Tricompax layout with black counters while inside they come equipped with the In-house Manufacture Caliber 01 which features a column wheel and a vertical clutch and offers up to 70h of power reserve. The chronographs can be attached to a steel bracelet (ceramic versions are excluded from this option) or with a leather strap matching the dial hue. With prices ranging between €7,600 and €7,900 for the steel case and between € 8,900 and € 9,100 for the ceramic one.

Automatic GMT 44
Arrives in two colours, black or blue, featuring an extra central 24-hour hand that provides a second-time zone. On the outside, its bezel rotates in both directions, while on the inside it operates the Caliber 32 (based on the ETA movement) that offers up to 42 hours of power reserve. Like the Chrono version, the watch can be attached to a steel bracelet or a leather strap. With prices ranging between €5,100 and €5,400.

Automatic 42
Finally, the simplified automatic version with time and date offers colour options on the dial in black, blue or green and comes equipped inside with the Caliber 17 based on the ETA 2824-2 that offers up to 38 hours of reserve time, and like all previous steel models, they can be attached to a bracelet or strap. With prices ranging between €4,400 and €4,700.
