Bovensiepen Spider: A 430 bhp Take On The BMW Z4
Bovensiepen name continues the performance-car philosophy once associated with Alpina, now with the Bovensiepen Spider, a more powerful and bespoke interpretation of the BMW Z4.

Based on the Z4, the two-seat roadster retains BMW’s 3.0-litre turbocharged B58 inline-six, but Bovensiepen has increased output to 430 bhp and 583 Nm, compared with 355 bhp and 500 Nm in the standard Z4 M40i. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Spider accelerates from 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 4.2 seconds, while the optional Performance Pack increases top speed to 295 km/h (183 mph), The engine receives a revised intake with an additional ram-air channel, a larger intake silencer and a new exhaust system, alongside improved cooling.

The chassis has also been revised with specially tuned dampers and longer rear auxiliary springs, while optional upgraded brakes feature four-piston calipers. The Performance Pack further adds an aluminium differential cover with larger cooling fins and an underbody V-brace for additional rigidity.

Designed by Frank Stephenson, the exterior receives a new front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and spoiler, complemented by 20-inch lightweight forged wheels.
Inside, leather and Alcantara dominate the cabin, with extensive possibilities for customer personalisation.

Production will be limited to just 99 examples, with prices starting at € 115,500 and deliveries expected from 2027. With its combination of increased performance, bespoke design and limited production, the Bovensiepen Spider offers a distinctive new interpretation of the BMW Z4.
