Blancpain Expands Bathyscaphe Ceramic Line With Three New Models
Blancpain has just announced the arrival of three new Fifty Fathoms to its Bathyscaphe Ceramic line, which in addition to the automatic and chronograph version now adds a complete calendar, and all of them with a new ceramic bracelet.
The new watches arrive in a 43.60mm black ceramic case with a satin-brushed finish, and a 60-minute unidirectional bezel in the shade of the dial, except the Complete Calendar which comes with a black insert, sapphire crystal, fluted crown at 3 o’clock than in the Chrono version. it is flanked by two pushers and 300m of watertightness.
The Automatic version, with time and date functions, features a black sunburst dial, three centre hands and a date window at 4:30, driven by the 35-jewel Caliber 1315 automatic movement that offers up to 5 days of power reserve.
The Chronograph variant displays a green sunburst dial, which to the hands and date window of the Automatic version adds three counters faithful to the flyback chronograph consummated in a 30-minute register, a running seconds and a 12-hour counter at 3-6-9 hours respectively. The 37-jewel F385 automatic movement offers up to 50 hours of power reserve.
The new thing here is the Complete Calendar which, in addition to being the first time to come in a reduced size, also appears with the new sunburst blue dial tone, with an extra hand for the date, two windows for the day and month at noon and an opening for the moon phases at 6 o’clock. Pumped by the 28-jewel Caliber 6654.P4 it offers 3 days of power reserve.
As already mentioned, the three new Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe arrive attached to a 3-link black ceramic bracelet with a folding clasp with the brand’s signature, with the Automatic version costing CHF 19,600 and the Chronograph and Complete Calendar versions CHF 23,900 each.
