Bell & Ross continues to push the boundaries of watchmaking by venturing into a new era of space exploration with the release of the limited edition BR-03 Astro. After mastering aviation and diving timepieces, the French watchmaker now turns its attention to the cosmos, delivering an extraordinary timepiece that reimagines traditional timekeeping with celestial inspiration.
The new BR-03 Astro embodies the creative ingenuity of Bell & Ross, showcasing an animated dial where planets and satellites replace conventional hands. At the heart of the display, Earth takes center stage against a deep celestial sky, symbolizing the vastness of space. The hour hand is represented by a laser-engraved gray moon with crater detailing, while the red planet Mars marks the minutes. Completing the orbital choreography, a white satellite indicates the seconds, creating a mesmerizing and dynamic display.
Encased in the brand’s signature square case with rounded corners and wide bevels, the BR-03 Astro measures 41mm in width and 11.50mm in thickness. Crafted from black ceramic with a micro-blasted finish, the case delivers a sleek yet robust aesthetic. The smooth bezel, sapphire crystal, and knurled screw-down crown at 3 o’clock enhance durability, while four signature screws secure the case at each corner. The watch also boasts a solid case back and a water resistance of up to 100 meters, making it both stylish and practical.
The dial is a true work of art, featuring a deep blue aventurine background that mimics the night sky filled with stars. The intricate laser engraving on the planetary hands adds a level of depth and craftsmanship that distinguishes the BR-03 Astro as a unique collector’s piece.
Powering the watch is the BR-Cal. 327 automatic movement, based on the Sellita SW300-1. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, this movement delivers a power reserve of up to 54 hours, ensuring reliable performance.
Designed for versatility and comfort, the BR-03 Astro comes with a black rubber strap complemented by a black PVD-coated steel buckle. Additionally, an extra black fabric strap with Velcro closure is included, providing an alternative for those who prefer a more lightweight and flexible option.
