Bell & Ross Unveils The BR-05 Chronograph Honoring The Patrouille De France
Bell & Ross has once again partnered with the prestigious Patrouille de France to unveil an exclusive edition of the BR-05 Chronograph, a timepiece celebrating the iconic precision aerobatics demonstration team of the French Air and Space Force. Established in 1953, the Patrouille de France is renowned for its acrobatic prowess, and this latest watch captures the spirit of their artistry through a stunning design.

The new Bell & Ross BR-05 Patrouille de France chronograph features a 42mm stainless steel case, showcasing the brand’s signature square silhouette with a round dial. The brushed finish on the surfaces is complemented by polished bevels, delivering a refined aesthetic. Its robust build includes a raised bezel secured by four screws, an open sapphire case back, a signed crown flanked by guards, block-shaped pushers, and water resistance up to 100 meters. The sapphire crystal adds durability, while providing clear visibility of the striking dial.

The dial itself is a testament to the aerobatic team’s heritage. A sunburst light blue background reflects the pilots’ flight suits, while navy blue and white counters mirror the jets’ fuselage. Red accents pay homage to the pilots’ helmets, completing the Patrouille de France’s signature color scheme. The dial layout includes two square counters with rounded corners: a 30-minute register at 3 o’clock and a running seconds counter at 9 o’clock. A tiny date window is discreetly positioned at 4:30. Enhancing legibility and style are white Arabic numerals, a navy blue tachymeter scale on the bezel, and applied indexes and hands filled with Super-LumiNova. The chronograph hands, in vivid red, include a central seconds hand with a counterweight shaped like the Patrouille de France’s Alphajet. Logos of both Bell & Ross and the Patrouille de France appear prominently at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock respectively.

Powering this exceptional timepiece is the BR-CAL.326 automatic movement. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this caliber offers a 60-hour power reserve and can be admired through the sapphire case back, which features the Patrouille de France motif painted on its surface.

The Bell & Ross BR-05 Patrouille de France Chronograph is available with two strap options: a blue leather strap for €6,990 or an integrated steel bracelet for €7,500. Limited to just 500 units, this timepiece is currently open for pre-order, offering collectors and enthusiasts an opportunity to own a watch that combines precision engineering with a tribute to one of the world’s most renowned aerobatic teams.
