Bell & Ross Renews The BR 03 Collection
Bell & Ross renews the BR 03 Collection, which in addition to the new size and an improved Caliber adds two new variants.
The emblematic watch with a square case and round dial secured by four screws, and inspired by the old aviation instrument panels now wears a 41mm by 41mm case, 1mm below the previous 42mm, which now also comes with lugs shorter by 0.5mm and with greater curvature that allows the watch to fit better on the wrist. Rounder corners more pronounced bevels, and a solid case back. The watch continues to come attached to a rubber or leather strap, although they are now more tapered.
Its internal automatic movement as announced above has also been improved, the Caliber 302 based on the Sellita SW300-1 now comes with 54 hours of power reserve which means 16 more than before, while continuing to reach 28,800 Vph.
The dial is the only sector that does not receive changes, maintaining the entire previous layout, with printed or applied hour markers and Arabic numerals filled with Super-Luminova as with the hour and minute hands, centre seconds hand, a minute track and a tiny round date window at 4:30.
In total there are eight new references, three of them come with a black ceramic case, one with a matte black dial and white indexes, another with a full black dial, and finally one with a matte black dial and beige indexes. Then there are three other references that come with a polished steel case, including one with a matte black dial and white indexes, another with a sunburst blue dial and white indexes, and finally one with a sunburst brown dial with gilt accents. The two missing references are the big news, as they are debuts in the collection, the first comes with a black ceramic case with a khaki-green dial and black indexes, while the second comes in a polished steel case with a cooper dial, sculpted black hour markers and blue faceted hands.
The new references come attached to a rubber or leather strap matching the hue of the dial and prices range between €3,700 and €4,500.
