Bell & Ross BR-X3 — A New Chapter In The Experimental Lineup
Bell & Ross has unveiled the , the latest addition to its Experimental collection. Building on the brand’s heritage of aviation-inspired timepieces, this model pushes the boundaries of design and technical construction while maintaining the recognizable “circle within a square” silhouette that has become synonymous with Bell & Ross since the BR-01 era.
Technical Case Architecture
The BR-X3 makes its debut in two versions, named Blue Steel and Black Titanium. Both share the same compact yet robust dimensions, measuring 41 by 41 millimetres across and 13.30 millimetres in thickness, which places them close in size to the most recent BR-03 models but with a more muscular presence on the wrist. The Blue Steel version is crafted from satin-finished and polished stainless steel, while the Black Titanium model uses lightweight micro-blasted Grade 2 titanium enhanced with black DLC-coated elements for a stealthier look.

One of the defining characteristics of the BR-X3 is its layered construction. The case is built around a cylindrical central barrel that houses the movement and dial, surrounded by four vertical corner pillars that connect the upper and lower parts of the case. Beneath the circular bezel sits a coloured plinth — blue on the steel version and black on the titanium model — which adds a subtle yet striking visual accent. The crown is protected by solid angular guards and screws down securely, while both sides of the watch are protected by sapphire crystals. The case is water-resistant to 100 metres, underlining its robustness.
Multi-Layered Dial Design
As with many of the watches in the Experimental series, the BR-X3 features a multi-layered dial construction designed to create depth and visual intrigue. The base layer is finished in matte black varnish on the Black Titanium version or in a radiant blue sunray varnish on the Blue Steel version. Sitting above this is a grey metallic or rhodium-plated X-shaped framework, which recalls the structural aesthetic found on other BR-X models. This framework supports the applied hour markers and frames two key indicators: a date display at three o’clock that shows three numerals at once, and a power reserve indicator at nine o’clock marking the watch’s three-day autonomy with “E” (empty) and “F” (full) markers.

The dial is further enhanced by semi-skeletonised hands and applied Arabic numerals at twelve and six o’clock, all filled with bright white Super-LumiNova X1 that emits a green glow in the dark. Around the periphery, an angled inner flange carries the minute and second scales, with cutouts around the hour markers that add even more visual depth. The result is a striking and highly legible dial that reinforces the instrument-inspired character of the watch.

Kenissi Manufacture Movement
Powering the BR-X3 is the BR-Cal.323, a manufacture automatic movement developed in collaboration with Kenissi. This calibre beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a robust 70-hour power reserve, providing both precision and endurance. It is also officially certified as a chronometer by the COSC, confirming its timekeeping accuracy. The movement can be admired through a sapphire crystal caseback — clear on the Blue Steel version and tinted on the Black Titanium model — which reveals the running gear and oscillating balance wheel in motion.

Price and Availability
The BR-X3 is fitted with a perforated rubber strap, in blue for the Blue Steel edition and black for the Black Titanium version, both secured by a pin buckle. The Blue Steel model is priced at € 7,400, while the Black Titanium version is priced at € 8,400. Both watches join the permanent Bell & Ross collection and will be available through the brand’s boutiques and authorised retailers.
