Before adding a GMT complication to its Lum collection, Bell & Ross had already established a reputation for creating highly legible instrument watches inspired by aviation. The new BR-03 GMT Green Lum builds on that expertise, combining the practicality of a dual-time display with one of the brand’s most striking luminous executions to date. Inspired by the ethereal glow of the Northern Lights, this limited edition introduces a fresh colour palette while preserving the unmistakable DNA of the BR-03 collection.

A Familiar Case with Refined Details

The BR-03 GMT Green Lum is housed in Bell & Ross’ signature 42 mm x 42 mm square case, whose distinctive circle-within-a-square architecture takes its inspiration from cockpit flight instruments. Measuring 11.30 mm thick, the case offers a balanced profile on the wrist and is protected by a sapphire crystal while providing 100 meters of water resistance.

Surrounding the dial is a bidirectional 24-hour rotating bezel fitted with a polished black ceramic insert. The engraved scale is filled with green-emitting Super-LumiNova C3, allowing the bezel to remain perfectly legible in darkness and reinforcing the watch’s strong visual identity. Brushed surfaces contrasted by polished bevels further elevate the overall finish.

An Aurora-Inspired Display

The dial is where this special edition truly stands apart. Its vertical gradient transitions from vivid green to deep black, recreating the atmospheric glow of the aurora borealis against a night sky.

Bell & Ross extends the luminous treatment across almost every display element. The Arabic numerals, applied hour markers and hands are generously coated with Super-LumiNova C3, producing an intense green glow when daylight fades.

To complement the military-inspired aesthetic, the hour and minute hands feature a black finish rather than polished steel, while the central seconds hand carries the brand’s signature aircraft-shaped counterweight. Completing the display is the openworked triangular GMT hand, which provides an intuitive reading of a second time zone.

Proven Automatic GMT Movement

Driving the watch is the Bell & Ross Calibre BR-CAL.303, an automatic movement based on the reliable Sellita SW330-2. It features an office-style GMT complication, where the independently adjustable hand is the 24-hour GMT hand instead of the local hour hand.

The latest version of the movement also benefits from an improved 54-hour power reserve, offering greater autonomy for everyday use.

The BR-03 GMT Green Lum is supplied with a black rubber strap and an additional ultra-resistant black synthetic fabric strap, giving owners two distinct wearing options straight out of the box.
