For the countless fans of Baltic’s still recent MR01 inspired by Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 96 of the 40s, we have good news, the French watch brand in partnership with the English watch retailer “A Collected Man”, has just presented a new iteration, the MR01 Blue Roulette.
After the presentations, let’s get to the less good news, like the previous editions the number of units available will be very restricted, a total of 300 units in a limited edition since the previous three iterations were limited production.
The new watch although presenting the same layout on the outside, namely stainless steel case with an alternating polished and brushed finish, smooth bezel, drilled lugs, fluted bezel, hesalite glass and a modest 30m water resistance and inside comes with the Hangzhou Caliber 5000A micro-rotor automatic movement with 42 hours power reserve, comes with a completely renewed dial.
The new dial in shades of blue, whose shades seem to alternate depending on exposure to light, has a grainy texture in the centre like the previous variants, a roulette ring painted with white Arabic numerals and an outer railroad track with a seconds scale. We can still find, off-centre small seconds and central faceted sword hands.
Finally, the watch is offered with a taupe Italian calf leather strap at the price of GBP 500 (excl. VAT) which can be purchased exclusively on the A Collected Man website and will be available from 21 September at 14:00 BST (British Summer Time).
