Baltic Celebrates its 5th Anniversary with a New Aquascaphe Dual Crown
It seems incredible, but it has been five years since three friends who are collectors and watch admirers got together and gave life to a project they named Baltic, so in 2017 an independent French watch brand was born by the hand of Etienne Malec, Paul Dufour and Clement Daniel.
Since then, it has produced several watches with classic inspiration and quality at very affordable prices, which have earned them constant positive reviews from the media but especially from the public, and thus it has been building its legacy step by step.
To mark this historic milestone, Baltic has just launched a limited edition Aquascaphe Dual-Crown of just 200 units, and as is the custom with Baltic’s most exclusive releases, this one shouldn’t take long to sell out.
The new Aquascaphe Dual-Crown is housed in a 39mm stainess steel case with an alternating brushed and polished finish, domed sapphire crystal, screw-down crowns, drilled lugs, solid case back engraved with the fifth anniversary and individually numbered, and 200 meters of water resistance. The glossy black dial features several details in turquoise green and purple, shades inspired by the 90s that marked the youth of the brand’s founders.
Highlighting the hour markers and minute hand all in turquoise green filled with Super-LumiNova and the internal rotating bezel whose first 20 minutes of its scale appear in purple as well as the inscription on the dial of “Dual-Crown” at 6 o’clock below of “Aquascaphe”. The watch is offered with two tropic rubber straps, one in turquoise green and one in purple that match the tones of the dial.
Inside, the automatic movement Myota 9039 operates with hacking seconds and offers up to 42 hours of power reserve.
Thus, the new Aquascaphe Dual-Crown is similar to the other models in the collection, however, it is unique for the details in the two tones, reminiscent of the 90s and for being a limited edition of 200 units that celebrates the fifth anniversary of the brand.
The price follows the other models in the collection, and not even the fact that it comes with an extra tropic rubber strap and individual numbering increases the price of € 799.50 and so it seems an excellent value proposition for those looking for a classic and exclusive timepiece.
