Seiko, which celebrates the 110th anniversary of its first wristwatch, the ‘Laurel’, launches three limited editions that pay homage to the century-old watch. 

These three references such as the ‘Laurel’ come with a white dial, red marker at 12 o’clock and blue hands. On the outside, they wear a stainless steel case that is attached to a brown leather strap made from sourced LWG (Leather Working Group) certified tanneries that guarantees sustainability in leather production. 

Seiko 5 Sports ‘Laurel’ – SRPK41K1 

The watch comes in a round steel case measuring 39.40mm in diameter, 13.10mm in thickness and 48mm lug-to-lug distance with brushed finish, smooth bezel, hardlex glass, fluted crown at 3 o’clock, open case back and 100m waterproof. 

The cream-tone white dial comes with applied Arabic numerals, Lumibrite hour markers and hands and double day-date window at 3 o’clock. 

Powered by the 24-jewel 4R36 automatic movement, it offers up to 41 hours of power reserve. 

The watch comes attached to a 5-row steel bracelet with folding clasp in addition to an extra brown leather strap. 

This limited edition of 6,000 pieces arrives priced at £400.

Seiko Presage Style 60’s ‘Laurel’ GMT – SSK015J1 

The round steel case measuring 40.80mm wide, 13mm high and 47mm apart, comes with a brushed finish on the surfaces and polished on the bevels, 24-hour steel bezel with a different finish for day and night hours, hardlex glass, fluted crown at 3 o’clock with the brand’s signature, open case back and 50m waterproof. 

The white concave dial comes with applied silver hour markers, four blue central hands including an extra GMT hand and a framed date window next to the crown. 

Inside runs the 4R34 automatic movement that reaches 21,600 Vph and offers up to 41 hours of power reserve. 

The watch, which comes attached to a wrinkled brown leather NATO strap, is limited to 3,500 pieces and can be purchased for £580.

Seiko Presage Sharp Edged ‘Laurel’ – SPB413J1 

Finally, comes the new Presage Sharp Edge that embraces a 40.20mm by 13mm steel case, which alternates between a polished and brushed finish, smooth bezel, sapphire glass, fluted crown with the brand’s logo at 3 o’clock and 100m water resistance. 

The white textured dial comes with a waffle pattern, applied faceted silver hour markers and hands matching the framed date window next to the crown and the brand’s lettering at noon, and lastly a blue center seconds hand. 

It is through the open case back that we can observe the Caliber 6R55 automatic movement, which offers up to 3 days of power reserve and whose main highlight is its golden rotor. 

The watch arrives on a brown calfskin strap with pin buckle, and is limited to 2,000 pieces and can be purchased for £990.
