Arnold & Son Present The New Longitude Titanium
Arnold & Son is another brand anticipating the new features that we will find in this year’s edition of Watches And Wonders, with its new Longitude Titanium, another brand entering the competitive category of sport-chic watches with an integrated bracelet.
Inspired by the marine chronometer of another time, the shape of the case is reminiscent of a vessel, with the middle case evocating the ship’s waterline, the case back basin-shaped like a keel and the 60-notches bezel, the ship’s rail.
The watch wears a titanium case measuring 42.50mm in diameter and 12.25mm thick that comes with a satin finish on the surfaces and polished on the bevels, sapphire glass on the front and back, screw-down crown at 3 o’clock that comes with the company’s logo and flanked by guards, and 100m of water tightness.
The new Arnold & Son Longitude Titanium arrives in three variants, the Ocean Blue which comes with a blue dial and rhodium-plated accents, the Fern Green which comes with a green dial and gold-plated indexes, and finally the Kingsand Gold which is a limited edition to 88 pieces, it comes with a beige dial, rhodium-plated hour markers and hands, and blue details.
The dials feature a vertical brushed finish, applied hour markers and hands all filled with Super-LumiNova, a minute track rehaut, a power reserve indicator at noon with cut-outs and a recessed small seconds at 6 o’clock with a radial background.
Inside runs the new Caliber A&S6302 automatic movement that is COSC-certified, which reaches 28,800 Vph and offers up to 60 hours of power reserve. Also noteworthy is the 22k Golden rotor, reminiscent of old maritime navigation instruments, which, like the bezel, comes with notches on the edges.
The watches, as already mentioned, come with an integrated titanium bracelet with H-shaped links. The two regular versions come with an extra rubber strap matching the dial.
As for prices, the Ocean Blue and Fern Green versions come with a price of CHF 21,500 while the exclusive Kingsand Gold edition comes with a price of CHF 22,600.
