Armin Strom continues to refine one of its most distinctive creations with the release of the Mirrored Force Resonance Rose Gold, a striking limited edition of just 15 pieces. This timepiece combines the warmth of 18k rose gold with the depth of black guilloché, presenting a bold visual contrast that highlights the brand’s technical mastery.

Case and Dial

The watch measures 43 mm in diameter and is crafted from rose gold with alternating brushed and polished finishes. Its off-centered black dial draws immediate attention, adorned with a handcrafted sunray guilloché pattern created on a traditional rose engine lathe by an in-house artisan. The guilloché is framed by a chapter ring with circular finishing, balancing artisanal craft with contemporary design. Completing the exterior is a dark gray Alcantara strap, offering both comfort and elegance.

The Caliber ARF21

At the heart of the Mirrored Force Resonance is the manually wound Caliber ARF21, a movement developed entirely in-house. Composed of 276 components and measuring 37.2mm × 6.7mm, this caliber embodies Armin Strom’s pioneering work with resonance.

The watch features two balance wheels, each with its own hairspring, synchronized through the brand’s patented Resonance Clutch Spring. This ingenious mechanism ensures that the oscillators naturally align, improving both chronometric stability and precision—a horological achievement that has challenged watchmakers for centuries.

The ARF21 beats at 3.5 Hz (25,200 vph) and provides a 48-hour power reserve. Its functions include hours, minutes, and twin-seconds, with the dual seconds hands offering a visual demonstration of the resonance effect. A discreet pusher at 2 o’clock allows the wearer to reset the seconds counters simultaneously, showcasing the accuracy of the mechanism.

Haute Horlogerie Finishing

As expected from Armin Strom, finishing is carried out to the highest standards. Visible through the sapphire crystal on both the dial and caseback sides are hand-beveled bridges, black-polished screws, circular graining, and perlage. Each Mirrored Force Resonance undergoes a double assembly process — a rare practice in watchmaking — ensuring every piece meets exacting standards of precision and decoration.

A Modern Expression of Tradition

The combination of rose gold with a black guilloché dial gives this edition a more opulent presence compared to its steel-cased predecessor with an ice-blue dial. Where the earlier model emphasized a cool, technical aesthetic, the new version leans into warmth and contrast, highlighting the timeless interplay of traditional craftsmanship and modern mechanics.
