Alpina Explores New Case Finishing With The Label Noir Alpiner
Alpina expands the Alpiner collection with a distinctive limited edition created in collaboration with Geneva-based customization studio Label Noir. Known for its experimental surface treatments and contemporary reinterpretations of traditional watchmaking, Label Noir brings a new visual identity to the Alpiner Manufacture Date while staying within Alpina’s alpine-inspired design language.

The result is a watch that combines a textured white dial, a uniquely finished stainless steel case, and the return of a manufacture movement to Alpina’s lineup. Limited to 130 pieces, the Alpina x Label Noir Alpiner Manufacture Date Special Edition stands apart from the brand’s more conventional tool-watch aesthetic.
Case and Exterior
The watch features a round stainless steel case measuring 41.50 mm in diameter and 13 mm in thickness, adopting a cleaner and more classical profile. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, positioning the watch as an everyday sports watch rather than a dedicated instrument.

What defines the case visually is its hammered finish, applied to the bezel and lugs. This surface treatment creates an irregular texture designed to evoke alpine rock formations dusted with snow. The finish subtly catches the light and contrasts with the otherwise restrained geometry of the case. A glassbox sapphire crystal protects the dial, adding depth and a vintage-inspired profile.
The caseback is fitted with a sapphire window, allowing a view of the movement inside.
Dial Design
The dial is finished in matte white with a fine, irregular grain, reinforcing the winter and mountain theme of the collaboration. The texture avoids a flat appearance and gives the dial visual depth without relying on color contrast.

Around the edge of the dial is a railway-style minute track, punctuated by discreet grey markers at five-minute intervals and rectangular markers at the quarter hours. The white-lacquered hour and minute hands are filled with blue-emitting Super-LumiNova, ensuring legibility in low-light conditions.
At 6 o’clock, Alpina integrates its signature pointer date display, indicated by a central white hand with an openworked triangular counterweight. The date numerals sit on a peripheral track, with the number 31 highlighted in grey lacquer, a design cue traditionally associated with Alpina manufacture movements offering extended power reserves.
Movement
Powering the watch is the Alpina Calibre AL-706, an automatic manufacture movement developed by Alpina’s sister company, Frederique Constant. The movement is built around a large mainspring barrel, delivering a 72-hour power reserve, currently the longest available in Alpina’s catalog.

The AL-706 operates at 4Hz and includes a pointer date complication integrated into the movement architecture rather than added as a module. Finishing details are visible through the transparent caseback, reinforcing the manufacture status of the caliber.
Strap and Availability
The watch is paired with a white technical nylon strap featuring a subtle satin sheen. It is secured with a folding clasp, balancing sportiness with everyday comfort and durability.

The Alpina x Label Noir Alpiner Manufacture Date Special Edition is limited to 130 pieces worldwide and is priced at € 3,695. With its combination of unconventional case finishing, a textured monochrome dial, and an in-house movement, the collaboration offers a distinctive interpretation of Alpina’s modern Alpiner design.
