Aikon Goes Titanium: New Automatic And Chronograph Models
Maurice Lacroix has expanded its Aikon collection by introducing a titanium version of the sport-chic watch, adding four new references: two Automatic models with time and date functions, and two Automatic Chronograph models, which also include day, date, and stopwatch features. Titanium brings significant advantages to these watches, offering lightness, hardness, resistance to corrosion and magnetic fields, as well as hypoallergenic properties.
The Automatic version features a 42mm diameter and 11mm thickness, while the Chronograph models come in slightly larger at 44mm in diameter and 15mm thick. Both versions have a titanium case with a sandblasted and polished finish, a fixed bezel with the Aikon signature claws, and sapphire crystal on both sides. These watches are water-resistant up to 200 meters and feature a screw-down crown, with the Chronograph models also equipped with two additional pushers.
In terms of dial design, the Automatic models display a Clous-de-Paris pattern available in grey-silver or purple tones, with applied hour markers, Super-LumiNova-filled hands, and a date window at the 3 o’clock position. The Chronograph versions, on the other hand, feature a block pattern in gold or purple tones with three subdials in black or grey, a double day-date window, and similar markers and hands as the Automatic models.
Powering the Automatic models is the ML115 movement, providing a 38-hour power reserve, while the Chronograph models use the ML112 movement, which offers a 48-hour power reserve. Both versions come with an integrated titanium bracelet, complementing the case, and feature a signed folding clasp for security.
The Automatic models are priced at CHF 2,700, while the Chronograph models cost CHF 4,150, bringing a premium yet refined design to the Aikon collection with the added benefits of titanium construction.
