Frederique Constant adds a refined new model to its Classic Tourbillon Manufacture collection—a limited edition that brings the shimmering depth of blue mother-of-pearl to the forefront. With only 36 pieces produced, this timepiece showcases the brand’s dedication to in-house craftsmanship and elegant watchmaking.
White Gold Case and Classic Proportions
The watch is housed in an 18K polished white gold case, measuring 39 mm in diameter and 10.99 mm thick. These proportions reflect a classical approach to design, intended to sit comfortably on the wrist while maintaining a sophisticated profile. Both the front and back of the case are fitted with sapphire crystals, allowing an uninterrupted view of the movement and its standout complication.
Mother-of-Pearl Dial and Applied Elements
The highlight of this edition is the dial, crafted from natural blue-tinted mother-of-pearl. Its subtle iridescence creates a dynamic play of light, giving the watch a unique visual character. The layout remains clean and symmetrical, with diamond-cut applied indices and hand-polished leaf-style hands. There is no luminescent material, reinforcing the watch’s formal and elegant identity.
At 6 o’clock, the large one-minute tourbillon takes center stage. Integrated into the dial, the tourbillon cage also carries a small seconds indicator, further balancing form and function.
In-House Automatic Movement
Inside the watch is the calibre FC-980-4, a manufacture automatic movement featuring a high-frequency tourbillon beating at 4Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour). The tourbillon mechanism includes a silicon escapement and anchor, enhancing resistance to magnetic interference and reducing long-term maintenance requirements. The movement is wound via a central rotor and offers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours.

The watch is paired with a matching light blue alligator leather strap, secured with a white gold folding clasp. Limited to 36 individually numbered pieces, the Classic Tourbillon Manufacture Blue Mother-of-Pearl edition is priced at € 35,995.
