A Regatta-Ready Baltic: The New Scalegraph Transat Café L’Or
Baltic expands its portfolio of chronographs with a new timepiece that sails beyond the racetrack and into the open sea. Created to celebrate the 17th edition of the Transat Café L’Or, a prestigious transatlantic sailing race between Europe and America, the Baltic Scalegraph Transat Café L’Or Limited Edition marks the brand’s role as the official timing partner of the event.

A Bezel Designed for the Sea
Unlike previous models that focused on motorsport timing, this edition of the Scalegraph has been adapted for maritime use. The tachymeter bezel has been re-engineered and is now graduated in knots over 1/10th of a nautical mile, allowing sailors to measure the average speed of a boat over a set distance.

Adding to its regatta-ready credentials, the chronograph subdial at 3 o’clock—the signature “Big Eye” counter—features the tri-color regatta counter configuration, here reinterpreted in different shades of blue. It functions as a 15-minute countdown timer, an essential tool for precisely tracking the moments leading up to a race start — a critical phase in competitive sailing.
Nautical Aesthetics and Refined Details
The design of the Transat Café L’Or edition draws inspiration from both the maritime world and the race’s name. The champagne-toned dial evokes the warmth of a café latte, contrasted by the blue accents of the regatta counter and an orange chronograph seconds hand that adds a touch of sportiness. The silver hour and minute hands and white timing scales complete the composition, creating a harmonious balance reminiscent of a sailing yacht’s colorful rigging and sails.

The watch is delivered with two straps for versatile wear: a beads-of-rice stainless steel bracelet equipped with a folding clasp for a refined vintage look, and a tropic-style rubber strap in beige tones with a steel pin buckle, ideal for comfort and durability during nautical activities.
Compact Proportions and Reliable Performance
At the heart of the Scalegraph Transat Café L’Or is the manual-winding Sellita SW511 BH movement, offering a 63-hour power reserve. This hand-wound caliber ensures precision and a slim profile, contributing to the watch’s 39.50 mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 14.10 mm including the domed crystal.

Despite its classic proportions, the model is robust enough for nautical conditions, featuring a 100-meter water resistance rating, making it suitable for ocean spray and sailing activity.
Limited Edition for Collectors
The Baltic Scalegraph Transat Café L’Or is limited to 200 pieces and will be available for order starting October 23rd at 3 p.m., priced at € 2,152.50.
Blending Baltic’s vintage-inspired chronograph design with practical adaptations for life at sea, this limited edition stands as a tribute to the spirit of the Transat Café L’Or and the challenge of crossing the Atlantic.
