A New Texture For The Streamliner: Ceramic And Fire
With the Streamliner Tourbillon Concept Ceramic, H. Moser & Cie. introduces ceramic to the Streamliner collection for the first time, merging the brand’s minimalist Concept philosophy with a highly technical case material and a sophisticated in-house tourbillon movement. The watch brings together advanced materials, artisanal craftsmanship, and mechanical innovation in a cohesive, integrated design.

A Ceramic Case and Bracelet
The watch is presented in a 40 mm cushion-shaped case crafted entirely from anthracite-gray ceramic. It measures 12.80 mm in height, or approximately 11 mm without the domed sapphire crystal, maintaining relatively balanced proportions for a tourbillon timepiece. The integrated bracelet, a defining element of the Streamliner design, is also executed in ceramic and follows the collection’s distinctive fluid, wave-like construction that ensures visual continuity from case to clasp.

To bring depth and character to the ceramic, the surfaces are finished by hand using a combination of techniques. The bracelet features vertical satin brushing, while the edges are subtly polished to create contrast. The case itself displays a circular satin finish, adding another layer of texture. This interplay of finishes prevents the ceramic from appearing flat and instead emphasizes its density and rich anthracite tone. Beyond aesthetics, ceramic provides notable functional benefits, including excellent scratch resistance, reduced weight compared to steel, long-term color stability, and hypoallergenic properties.
A Textured Grand Feu Enamel Dial
The dial is executed in a striking red fumé tone and adheres to the brand’s Concept approach, meaning it is free of logos and hour markers. The absence of text directs full attention to the material, texture, and mechanical display.

Its construction begins with a white gold base that is carefully engraved to produce a hammered effect. Two enamel pigments are then prepared through a meticulous process of washing and grinding before being applied in a gradient to create the dial’s characteristic smoky transition from brighter central tones to darker edges. The Grand Feu enameling process requires multiple firings in a kiln, allowing the pigments to fuse and develop their vibrant, enduring color. The resulting surface offers substantial visual depth and a tactile appearance that contrasts with the sleek ceramic exterior.
Flying Tourbillon with Dual Hairspring Technology
At 6 o’clock, the one-minute flying tourbillon dominates the dial. Its construction without an upper bridge enhances the sense of openness and mechanical lightness, making the regulating organ fully visible from the front.
Powering the watch is the in-house automatic HMC 805 caliber. One of its most significant technical features is the use of a double hairspring system, manufactured by Precision Engineering AG, the brand’s sister company. By pairing two matched hairsprings, the movement improves isochronism and reduces positional deviations that can occur as the springs expand and contract, thereby enhancing overall timekeeping stability.

The movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and delivers a minimum power reserve of three days. Measuring 32 mm in diameter and 5.50 mm in thickness, the caliber incorporates a bidirectional pawl winding system designed to maintain efficient energy replenishment. Visually, it features anthracite-gray bridges and partially skeletonized components, while an openworked 18K red gold rotor provides a subtle contrast and reinforces the watch’s high-end execution.
Integrated Architecture and Wearing Experience
The Streamliner’s integrated construction ensures that the transition between case and bracelet is seamless. The curved ceramic links are engineered to follow the contours of the wrist closely, enhancing comfort while preserving the watch’s sculptural identity. The sapphire crystal protects the dial while maintaining a streamlined profile consistent with the overall design language.

Price and Positioning
The Streamliner Tourbillon Concept Ceramic is priced at CHF 96,200. Within the Streamliner collection, it represents a technically ambitious reference that combines advanced ceramic case construction, a handcrafted Grand Feu enamel dial, and an in-house flying tourbillon equipped with dual hairspring technology. Through this release, H. Moser & Cie. expands both the material and mechanical scope of the Streamliner line while remaining faithful to its minimalist Concept philosophy, where form, craftsmanship, and horology take precedence over overt branding.
