A New Chapter For Basel: Basilia Watch And Jewelry Show Arrives In 2027
The city of Basel is set to welcome a new international watch and jewelry exhibition with the launch of Basilia, scheduled for April 2027. Organized by MCH Group and Informa Markets, the event aims to create a platform for brands and suppliers seeking greater exposure to European retailers and industry professionals.
Unlike the former Baselworld fair, Basilia will be a completely new event with a different structure and focus. Organizers expect around 400 exhibitors for the inaugural edition, with the exhibition divided between jewelry brands, gemstone and materials suppliers, and watchmakers alongside industry-related companies.
The watch segment is expected to provide a showcase for established and emerging brands from around the world, particularly those looking to present their latest collections outside the highly competitive environment of Geneva’s Watches and Wonders. The event will take place shortly after Watches and Wonders, offering an additional opportunity for retailers, distributors, and collectors to discover new products and industry developments.
According to the organizers, Basilia will emphasize product presentation over costly exhibition stands, with the goal of creating a more accessible and affordable environment for participating brands. The first list of exhibitors is expected to be announced in the coming months as preparations continue for the debut edition in 2027.
