A New Blueprint For The Regulator: Louis Erard x Worn & Wound
Louis Erard expands its ongoing series of creative regulator watches with a new edition developed in partnership with Worn & Wound, the New York–based platform known for highlighting accessible watchmaking. This release follows the brand’s philosophy of reimagining its signature regulator layout through collaborations that emphasize distinctive design perspectives.

Design and Case
The watch is presented in the familiar 39 mm stainless-steel case that anchors many of Louis Erard’s recent introductions. Its proportions, finishing, and overall architecture remain unchanged, resulting in a comfortable and well-balanced presence on the wrist. Completing the exterior is a light brown leather strap fitted with a steel pin buckle, a pairing that reinforces the warm tones of the dial and maintains the understated character of the piece. This consistent case design serves as a neutral framework that draws attention directly to the dial, where the collaborative design work becomes most evident.

Layered Regulator Display
For this edition, Louis Erard and Worn & Wound introduce a multi-level interpretation of the traditional regulator display. The minutes are shown in the center on a raised circular platform that places emphasis on the primary unit of timekeeping. The hours and seconds appear on open-worked rotating discs positioned at 12 and 6 o’clock, respectively. These discs sit on a lower plane than the central minutes, creating a clear vertical separation between each indication and adding a pronounced sense of depth.

The outer section of the dial features a fan-shaped fluted pattern that surrounds the displays and reinforces the visual structure. This texture is repeated on the elevated minutes sub-dial, helping to unify the various layers and design elements. Louis Erard’s characteristic fir tree–shaped minute hand is used once again, establishing continuity with earlier regulator models and adding a distinctive stylistic reference point. Shades of light and dark blue are applied across the dial, enhancing contrast and making the architecture of the display stand out more clearly.
Following the approach taken in several recent collaborations, the dial remains unbranded, containing only the discreet “Swiss Made” inscription at the base. This absence of visible logos contributes to the clean and design-forward aesthetic.
Movement
The watch is powered by the Sellita SW266-1 automatic movement fitted with a regulator module. This calibre is based on the long-established SW200 architecture, itself derived from the widely used ETA 2824. As a result, it delivers reliable performance, straightforward servicing, and dependable day-to-day operation. The movement offers a power reserve of 38 hours, which, while modest by modern standards, aligns with the project’s intention to prioritize Swiss manufacturing, robustness, and accessibility rather than pushing for technical upgrades.

Conclusion
The Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Worn & Wound continues Louis Erard’s strategy of presenting its regulator platform as a canvas for collaborative design. This edition distinguishes itself through its three-dimensional dial construction, open-worked time displays, and restrained, logo-free aesthetic. Combined with the brand’s familiar 39 mm steel case, a light brown leather strap, and a practical Swiss automatic movement, the watch delivers a distinctive and architecturally engaging interpretation of the classic regulator format.
