1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calendar White Gold

This year A. Lange & Söhne celebrates the tenth anniversary of its model 1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calendar and to mark the date presents a limited edition of 100 pieces in white gold that comes with a salmon dial.

Winner of the Grand Prix d’Horologerie in Geneva in 2013, the new 1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calendar, despite its new 18k white gold case, present the exact dimensions and configuration as the other variants and the same happens with the busy dial in pink gold that substantiates the complications of date, day of the week, month, leap year, moon-phase, power reserve and split-seconds chronograph in four symmetrical analogue displays—also featuring Arabic printed numerals, blue minute and hour leaf hands and the Rattrapante central seconds hands.

Inside, the ingenious manual movement Caliber L101.1 of 631-part brings this masterpiece to life, operating at 21,600 Vph and offering a power reserve of up to 42 hours. Assembled and decorated by hand can be enjoyed through the sapphire case back.

The watch comes with a brown alligator leather strap with a deployment buckle in the same material as the case.

Lange 1 Time Zone Platinum

The other novelty brought by A. Lange & Söhne is the new Lange 1 Time Zone which now arrives in a 950 Platinum case and with a solid silver dial, the latter being an absolute first for the brand.

The Lange 1 is probably the best-known model from the German watchmaking brand and so it’s no wonder that over the years the brand has launched countless variants with different complications but always with the concern to maintain its design.

The new Lange 1 Time Zone thus joins the other two regular variants, one in white gold with a black dial and the other in pink gold with an argenté dial.

On the outside, it wears the same 41.9mm diameter and 10.9mm thick case, fluted crown at 3 o’clock and two rectangular pushers at 8 and 10 o’clock and sapphire glass at the front and back.

On the dial the usual configuration of the Lange 1 with an off-centre time display at 9 o’clock that comes with a centre day/night disk and which also adds a small second at 6 o’clock, as its traditional position at 5 o’clock is now replaced by a second-time zone with an hour and minute hands, a centre day/night disk and a triangle that works in partnership with the outer ring that comes filled with various cities. On the dial we can still find the power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock and the iconic outsized date window at 2 o’clock.

At its heart works the Manufacture Caliber L141.1 with 448 components, which reaches 21,600 Vph and offers up to 72 hours of power reserve.

The watch comes attached to a black alligator leather strap with a 950 platinum buckle.
