A. Lange & Söhne Presents The Datograh Up/Down Blue Dial
Lange & Söhne brings a new edition of the Datograph Up/Down that for the first time ditches the black dial for a blue one.
Presented for the first time in 2012, the ALS Datograph Up/Down had until now two editions, one in platinum and the other in Pink Gold, sharing a black dial with silver counters.
The new edition that now arrives is a limited edition of 125 pieces that celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Datograph and joins two silver registers to the new blue dial.
The newly arrived ALS Datograph comes in a round white gold case measuring 41mm wide by 13.10mm high, which comes with brushed sides and polished surfaces and to which are also added a crown, three pushers and sapphire crystal on both sides.
On the dial, a large double date window at noon, two registers with an azure background, a 30-minute counter at 4 o’clock and running seconds at 8, a power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock, applied white gold hour markers and Alpha hands that come filled with Super-LumiNova and a chronograph centre seconds that, in partnership with the tachymeter scale of the rehaut, allows accuracy measurements of one-fifth of a second.
All of this is only possible thanks to the 451-part Caliber L951.6 manual movement, featuring a chronograph flyback with a column wheel and reaching 18,000 Vph.
The timepiece is attached to a blue leather strap with white stitching and a white gold clasp matching the case.
