A. Lange & Söhne Launches Limited Richard Lange Jumping Seconds And 1815 Tourbillon
A. Lange & Söhne unveiled two new interpretations of existing models, underscoring the brand’s dedication to precision watchmaking and classical design. The Richard Lange Jumping Seconds now appears with a pink-gold dial in a white-gold case, while the 1815 Tourbillon is introduced in platinum with a black grand-feu enamel dial. Both are produced in extremely limited numbers and showcase the craftsmanship for which the German manufacture is renowned.
Richard Lange Jumping Seconds – White Gold with Pink-Gold Dial
The Richard Lange Jumping Seconds is distinguished by its regulator-style display, where the largest sub-dial at twelve o’clock is dedicated to the seconds. Hours and minutes are placed in smaller overlapping registers below, a layout inspired by 18th-century precision chronometers crafted by Johann Heinrich Seyffert.
For 2025, the model is presented in a 39.90 mm white-gold case with a solid pink-gold dial featuring crisp black markings. The warmth of the dial contrasts elegantly with the cool tone of the case, offering a fresh visual identity to this regulator-style watch.

Inside beats the hand-wound calibre L094.1, a movement composed of 390 individual parts. It runs at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and delivers a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement integrates three key mechanisms that work together to ensure the highest degree of precision: a constant-force escapement that delivers steady energy to the gear train, a jumping seconds display that advances in exact one-second increments, and a zero-reset system that instantly resets the seconds hand to zero when the crown is pulled, allowing perfectly accurate time-setting.

Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the calibre is decorated in the traditional Lange style. It features untreated German silver plates, gold chatons held in place by blued screws, and the unmistakable hand-engraved balance cock. On the dial side, a triangular indicator serves as a subtle power reserve warning by turning red when only ten hours remain.

1815 Tourbillon – Platinum with Black Grand-Feu Enamel Dial
The 1815 Tourbillon brings together the elegance of a classic design with highly sophisticated horology. At six o’clock, a one-minute tourbillon rotates to counteract the effects of gravity on the balance, improving accuracy. What makes this model particularly notable is the integration of stop seconds and zero-reset functions. When the crown is pulled, the tourbillon cage halts completely and the seconds hand returns to zero, making precise synchronization possible.

The watch is presented in a platinum case measuring 39.50 mm in diameter and 11.30 mm in height. Its striking dial is crafted from black grand-feu enamel, a process executed entirely in-house and requiring more than 100 steps and several weeks of work for each piece. White Arabic numerals and a railway-style minute track reflect the aesthetics of traditional 19th-century pocket watches and firmly root the watch in the design codes of the 1815 collection.

At its heart is the hand-wound calibre L102.1, built from 262 components. The movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of 72 hours. An in-house manufactured balance spring paired with a screw balance ensures consistent performance. Through the dial aperture, the tourbillon reveals a finely finished cage and bridge treated with black polishing, which catches and reflects the light in dramatic fashion. The movement’s reverse side showcases A. Lange & Söhne’s hallmark features, including the three-quarter plate in untreated German silver, gold chatons secured with blued screws, and delicate hand engraving.
The 1815 Tourbillon in platinum with a black grand-feu enamel dial will be limited to only 50 pieces.
